The illustrations inside this book are absolutely beautiful! The mermaids are shown in a variety of poses and backgrounds - my daughter said she likes this book because the mermaids have fish scales all the way up, instead of bras (!) I wish they made this in just a normal book (instead of the "stained glass" paper) for when we don't want to put EVERY picture in the window - I think I will buy these for party favors after her birthday party. I don't know of a little girl who wouldn't love this book.

These stained glass coloring books are a great idea. My daughter who is nearly 8 is having fun with this Mermaid one. Colored markers work best and looks great hung in a window. They are good for adults too as there is a lot of detail in the pictures to be colored. My daughter is good at coloring but I'll being coloring a few of these myself. The Dover coloring book is really good for those who like to color. This is NOT for young children.
