I am really enjoying this book. I was already a fan of his web blog/site and so sought out the book.
William Bond is one of the foremost experts on mermaid lore and has a unique and believable sociological explanation for mermaids legends: they are the remnants of the social taboo against women who worked (as divers) to support their families. |
