If you're looking for shoes to lounge around in the house, these Merrell Innsbruck shoes aren't for you. That's because they're built for harsh terrain, where their primary uses are for feet protection and surface adhesion on slippery and unstable footings. While in the process of doing those, these Innsbrucks cradle your feet in a slightly stiff, yet comfortable manner. That's done by the shoes' thin insulation and supportive insoles. In fact, those insoles are the most supportive that I've ever experienced from a shoe manufacturer. Usually, support of that caliber is something I'd have to seek as an aftermarket product. And equally important is the shoes' sizing, because the fit feels custom-made. The rest of the components are made from high-quality, rugged materials. So if I could give more than a five-star review, I would.

Purchased these for last winter. Fair price at Amazon along with quality service. I was impressed with the soft rubber soles of these shoes and their traction on slippery surfaces. I bought a cheap pair of a similar shoe by another company and I was like Hans Brinker on every slippery or wet surface I walked on. Merrell is a recognized name when it comes to quality. I firmly believe that Merrell puts added value in their products that you cannot see initially in the price.

I've been purchasing and wearing Merrell's slip on shoes for several years. I don't like boots that go over the ankle but still want a warm, waterproof shoe that can be worn in winter. The Innsbruck Waterproof shoe is very comfortable and has a good thread for slippery conditions. I'm very happy and satisfied with this purchase and will be a Merrell customer for a long time.

If you are going on vacation and are going to be on your feet, think NYC and Central Park, subways, The Village, these shoes are great. Also like the Jungle Mocs. Get a dark brown or black and you can go from hiking to most any high end restaurant in jeans and a sport coat and feel comfortable on your feet and with your attire, especially in NYC or LA. If you are traveling light and carrying on with room for only one pair of shoes, these are your best bet.

I like them alot - came on time - all is good! The only negative (and I knew this going in) is that they are a bit hot (not alot of breathing going on!). But very well made and great on those wintery days when you are steppin' out!

I agree with everyone on how comfortable this shoe is, the great looks, the waterproofing, but the soles (at least my pair) SUCK! I have had these for less than 6 months, and the soles have worn through to the air chambers in the soles. I really loved these shoes and thought I had a keeper here, not so. The rubber on one, is peeling away from the leather in the front as well. I have never had a pair of shoe soles wear out so fast. Maybe I got a bad pair. I am not sure if most of the other reviews of this shoe were posted early on, but I would love to hear comments on how their soles are wearing. Here is a link to some pictures of my shoes.

I received these shoes as a gift. I have a high arch and a size fifteen foot, they fit perfectly, and suuport the arch well. However, they are not a summer shoe... they are very warm and even in 40 degree weather wearing tube socks with them, my feet felt warm, almost to discomfort. I have not tested the waterproof aspect yet. They look good with jeans and feel very well made. I live in AZ, so I'm sure that come march, I will be putting them in the closet 'til November. Not a perfect shoe, but they are close.

Ive used these a few days now. I am a size 10.5 and bought size 11 to accommodate thicker socks in the cold. It is a tight squeeze to get into, probably to help keep moisture from getting in around the ankle.

This is a great shoe for cold weather. I bought these to kick around camp on an elk hunt in Wyoming. The weather was not very cold (lows in the 40's)so I didn't feel like I put them to the test. I have had several chances back home in Texas to wear them in very cold weather (lows in the low teens) and they work great. They are very comfortable, perform well on ice and are indeed waterproof.

I'm outside a lot during the day here in the Northwest. I walk a lot and these are ideal for keeping my feet comfortable and dry during the cold wet months. I don't know if Merrell "runs small" or not but for me size 9 is ideal whereas with other brands I can easily go with 9 1/2. These are tight and a bit hard to get into. A shoehorn is recommended. But they will break in over time and slip on a bit easier. (Once on you don't want to take them off). These are my 3rd pair of Merrell shoes and I love this brand. Great quality and no regrets.
