5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, COMFORTABLE Shoes, Guys!
I have terribly bad feet, ankles, and legs, and a severely deteriorated spine at L4-L5. I also use a cane at all times.

These shoes, from Merrell, are just the best thing since sliced bread!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, but Shoddy
I received these shoes as a Christmas gift, and was very impressed, at first, with how comfortable they are. As other reviewers have noted, they feel almost like a slipper; they have excellent arch support, and they cup the outside edge of the foot wonderfully. They were becoming my "go-to" shoe until the rubber sole started coming unglued. I have not subjected them to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, COMFORTABLE Shoes, Guys!, August 6, 2007
I have terribly bad feet, ankles, and legs, and a severely deteriorated spine at L4-L5. I also use a cane at all times.

These shoes, from Merrell, are just the best thing since sliced bread!!

Supportive, Solidly Constructed from Quality Materials, Rubber Soles (yea!) that stay soft and "grippy", not like the "plastic stuff" used by others!! Never Slip, Always Grip, even when wet and on tile floors.

They fit and have a comfort level of slippers! How Great is That!? Softly, yet firmly, gripping your foot...you must try a pair and see what I mean! Don't doubt my word, men, read the other reviews here, also!

Do yourself a GREAT favor, and get yourself a pair of these great, comfortable, and long-wearing shoes. I can tell you personally that the "classic taupe" and "midnight" always look well, and go with everything, and "brush up" wonderfully when soiled or skuffed looking!!
Enjoy, and wear 'em in great comfort! ~operabruin

My husband is diabetic and his feet are very sensitive. I bought these shoes for him. He loves them. He is constanty complaining about his feet. So these are a blessing. I have a pair and I wore them all winter just about everyday. I need to buy more colors!

5.0 out of 5 stars Merrell Jungle Moc, January 4, 2007

This is an excellent shoe for men, casual but dressy enough for a fun evening. Style aside, it is well made with excellent midfoot support and appropriate toe box structure. As a practitioner in podiatry, I got these for my husband, who was suffering from foot pain, with a near immediate relief in his pain.

A well made shoe can make the difference between long term foot support and long term problems. Merrill shoes are an excellent start to good foot health.

5.0 out of 5 stars In the Evolution of Shoes, these are the humans with really big heads, January 6, 2008
I too love the Jungle Mocs. I owned a pair of "Winter Mocs" for more years than I can remember, and finally pitched them only because the supports had finally broken down (the soles were getting a bit thin, but all seams and stitchings were completely intact - a triumph for Chinese made shoes, frankly). The Jungle Mocs are very easy to pull on, and in a hurry can be stepped into. In a store, I gave the sample shoe some good testing at the stitch points (hefty pulling and twisting), and the shoes passed. These really are incredible casual wear shoes. Rugged good looks (I have the "gunsmoke" suede), dry, warm, snug, and convenient. Everything you want in a dog or shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome shoe, December 28, 2010
By

I just got these this morning and haven't taken them off yet. I may sleep in them! They fit true to size, easy on/easy off and very comfortable. Even better, I live at a ski resort and the soles on these shoes are incredible on snow and ice. I had the Merrell Shivers, which were warmer, but very slippery on ice.

Merrell makes a lot of different soles. The ones I got look like they have octopus suckers on the sides and little square nubs in the center. Very bizarre looking but very sticky. These soles come on the standard Jungle Mocs.

4.0 out of 5 stars My Wide Feet Thank You, May 3, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Comfortable right out of the box for my EEE feet. They may not appear to be the best quality shoe available but the price is right and one can expect a few years of useful life from this good looking shoe. Merrell makes a number of variations on this shoe but offers only a few of them in wide sizes - a real lack of awareness from a company that otherwise offers great footwear at good prices.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Shoe, November 3, 2007
I no longer shop for shoes, I only shop for more Merrell Mocs.

I can't rave on more than others about these fine shoes, so I won't add to their well-earned laudits.

The satisfying fact is that Merrell is a division of a company called Wolverine, who is the parent or umbrella company of Hush Puppies and also makes construction boots and the boots for the U.S. Military.

5.0 out of 5 stars Merrell Jungle Moc (Leather)..., April 5, 2007
I have been purchasing Merrell shoes for some time now and I still love the quality, comfort, and durability, and the Merrell Jungle Moc (Leather) is no exception. One particular quality of the Jungle Moc is the ease in getting the shoe on and off, especially with today's airport security procedures. Finally, I appreciate the genuine rubber sole when the weather turns frigid, as they do not harden like plastic soles.

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly great shoe., April 8, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very well made, lightweight and sublimely comfortable, these instantly became my favorite shoes from the moment I wore them. They slip on easily, but fit perfectly snuggly; no risk of these coming off inadvertently. I've been wearing them exclusively for over a week, and there is not one single thing I would change or improve upon - treat yourself and your feet to these exceptionally well conceived shoes.

Follow up - I purchased a second pair in the taupe color. Very nice.

2.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, but Shoddy, January 21, 2012
I received these shoes as a Christmas gift, and was very impressed, at first, with how comfortable they are. As other reviewers have noted, they feel almost like a slipper; they have excellent arch support, and they cup the outside edge of the foot wonderfully. They were becoming my "go-to" shoe until the rubber sole started coming unglued. I have not subjected them to any extraordinary circumstances--just around town and around the house duty. But there is now a very large gap on one shoe stretching from the middle/arch section to the toe where the sole is separating. I can now see fairly far into the shoe, and it looks to be glued with something vaguely resembling rubber cement; in any case, it's certainly not strong enough. Most quality shoes will stitch the sole to the shoe, but these ones do not. I wouldn't buy another Merrell shoe unless I could see the stitching in the picture at this point. It's very disappointing, as I was really getting into the feel of this shoe... I may even try to glue them myself, but frankly, one should never have to worry about such things a month after getting a pair of shoes. If I were shopping for them myself, I'd keep looking.
