I have been buying Merrell hiking and general purpose walking shoes for years and the Pantheon has to be one of the most versatile and best pairs I have owned. I own a number of heavier style Merrell hiking shoes, and while they are very rugged, you sometimes feel like you are lugging around a pair of foot weights. The Pantheon by contrast are extremely light, but are very padded and comfortable for hiking on the trail or just talking a walk on the street or sidewalk. I wanted something that was both rugged and lightweight. For me personally, this lighter weight helps minimize on the foot fatigue and makes them easy to pack away for travel. I plan to use these shoes as my primary walking shoes when we take our overseas trips. I would highly recommend that you purchase these shoes.

The pair of shoes are really light. I try it on in a store in CA and could wait to the end of year to order it. They are really comfortable to walk.

I ordered the Men's Pantheon BOOT and the compnay sent the shoe by mistake. What was pictured when I placed the order was the men's Pantheon boot. I called and let them know about their mistake. At the time when I called they had sold out of the size of boot that I needed. So I returned the shoe; the company was accommodating.
