Merrell 'Savannah' Sandal

I have to tell anyone, who has lower back or foot pain, to try a pair of Merrells. When you try them on, they feel comfortable, but once you wear them for a week, you'll never wear another brand of footwear (unless you have to). Most of their shoes need no "break in" time. I own these in four different colors. My eldest daughter owns two pairs of these. I own more than 20 pairs of Merrells, I have been wearing these for years. The cool thing about them is, when you see someone else wearing a pair, it's like you're both in on a secret. You know, you're walking in heaven.

I'm so glad they make these again! I had a pair I wore pretty much daily for a year and a half. Finally I broke through the leather and they could not be repaired. Last summer I went without them. Now I just bought a new pair and am tempted to buy 2 just in case I can't find them again. I also own Merrell tetra wave black loafers that I wear daily to work. I would say these shoes are great for me!

The Merrell Savannah is easily the best sandal I ever owned. Most Merrell shoes are sort of clunky-looking, but the Savannah is beautiful. And although there are a lot of beautiful sandals around, the Savannah has the think cushioned sole, the "thong"/ flip-flop toe, AND the strap around the back to keep the foot from slipping sideways on a slope. I love these shoes.

Unfortunately, I am concerned that they may be discontinued. I have been unable to find them for the past year. I hope this entry on Amazon means that they are being revived, not that there are a few left out there somewhere.

I bought one pair of these at Peltz Shoes in Florida...as soon as I tried
them on I knew in an instant they were what I was looking for.
I need a good sole so I won't slip..and these soles are fabulous.
Plus I like a thong and these are essentially a thong with an ankle strap..velcro..and it never comes undone either.
These shoes have great wearability....long lasting sole..with
very soft cushioning inside as well.
A + for comfort.
When I got back to New York State ..I ordered a second pair in another color...that's how great these shoes are.
THEY will last a long time, too.

I have notoriously tender feet, but I took a chance and bought these to wear on an amusement park trip. There was a great deal of walking involved, but I didn't have a single sore spot, much less a blister. And I was a bit concerned about the strap going between my toes. However, the way these are constructed that was never an issue. These are hands-down the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. Highly recommended.

I now own 5 pairs of savannahs, and I love them. I had my hip replaced several years ago and these are the only and I repeat the only pair of sandals I can wear, they are cushioned like a sneaker but wear like the sandal they are. Great product.

I suffered from Plantars Fascitis in both feet and had immediate pain relief and healing from wearing these. I walked about 40 minutes a day to work in them with great ease. They got me a lot of compliments too. I think that for comfort and stylish appeal there is nothing better to wear all summer.

I just now discovered that Merrell is making this sandal again, and am thrilled. I purchased one pair about five years ago and still live in them every summer. The Savannah is hands down the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I was really distraught when Merrell discontinued making them! While their other shoes are great, none of the sandals compared to this one in terms of appearance, versatility with many outfits and function (I need a back-strap or sandals fall off my feet). Now that they are offering them again, I think I'm going to buy two pair. I sincerely hope Merrell continues to produce this sandal for many years to come!

I bought these sandals for a recent trip to Italy. They were comfortable right out of the box. I absolutely LOVE them. I can walk and walk for miles with no foot pain. They are extremely stylish and look great with shorts, casual skirts, and capris. I also wore them to the parks in Walt Disney World and they were fabulous. I would like to buy another pair, but sadly, I am having trouble finding any. I am hoping Merrell has not discontinued these because I can't find another style I like as well. I also have the Merrell Agave sandal, and while they are nice, they are not nearly as comfortable as these Savannahs. My pair have held up very well under lots of wear and for over a year and still look great.

Loved how they looked, but the thong strap pulled out from the sole after maybe 2 months of wearing. Very disappointed in the quality.
