The dog house looks nice and seems sturdy, but is made of the thinnest wood possible to hold it together. If it hails there may be holes in the roof. The instructions are poorly laid out and not big enough to see detail. They reminded me of a photocopy done by hand with the staples still in the paper. I found myself having to take it apart several times to move pieces and flip them around. The pre-drilled holes for the front posts were not aligned and I had to do some cutting and gluing to make it sturdy enough to work. I'm happy with it for what I paid which was around ninety one dollars. I would not have paid more than that though. My dog did not like the rubber strip door. Also, this is not cedar. It is stained wood to look like cedar. The description mentions cedar several times and it does now say that it is stained to look like cedar, but when I ordered it I believed it was made of at least some cedar. I assumed maybe the visible parts were cedar and unexposed parts were not. It is all made of thin strips of stained fir.

I love the style of the doghouse. The inside of the house will only accomodate about a 60 pound dog though so don't get it for large breeds. You will need to get heavier weather flaps to keep out the rain.

Very easy instalation and it seems to be product that will last for a few years at least. The negative is that it does leak. I thought the tongue and groove roof would be a little more water tight. The house is very nice overall.

I get such great comments about our unique dog house and she fits great she is a Med/large dog, Old English Bulldogge. Easy to put together.
