I have purchased many different Christmas cd's, but this was THE BEST! You'll want to listen to it even after all the gifts are un wrapped and the last of the tinsel is put away.

all though i have known of doc severson for for a long time, i was not familiar with this cd till 104krbe houston,tx. man was i amazed! it surely is a must have cd. enjoy year-round.

Anyone who is a fan either of Doc, big band, brass or Christmas music must own this CD!!! I Have looked for years for a Christmas CD to top this one with no luck. The Tonight show band was one of the most powerfull big bands of all time!! This CD clearly confirms that, it can be a beutiful ballad one moment and turn into a powerhouse the next. Words can not express how awesome the CD is. A must have for any Christmas collection.

I've had the cassette version of this for years. I finally got around to getting the CD from the Amazon site. The songs are soothing. Some songs feature a children's choir, but most are Doc's musicians doing their thing. I particularly like March of The Toys, Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and The Sugar Plum Fairy. Too bad Doc and the guys never got around to doing a second or third holiday CD.

I believe Doc still tours. He's the only member of Johnny Carson's Tonight Show who's still with us. Johnny, Ed McMahon and Tommy Newsome have all passed on. Whatever Doc's doing these days, I wish him well. This CD is great to listen to or as background music at any holiday party.

We bought this in 1999 after our local radio station 104 KRBE in Houston started playing it on their morning show. We are ADDICTED, and now our son has started playing the trumpet in his school band. Doc and the gang BRING TO LIFE all the wonderful Christmas songs. Every household should have a copy of this. Our Christmas wouldn't be complete without it.

I was expecting an in-your-face, swinging big band Christmas album. What I got was a handbells, a brass choir, a children's chorus, pipe organ, and strings. Doc is fantastic, of course, but this is just average easy listening Christmas music. Most tunes are simply Muzak string arrangements, and several tracks don't even have Doc or the band playing. The better tracks include Let It Snow, March Of The Toys, and Jingle Bells. I bought this disc with no preview, solely on the recommendation of a Houston radio DJ. I learned my lesson - always listen to the samples!

A fine addition to any Christmas CD collection. There are very few "must own" CDs and Doc Severinsen does not disappoint!

One of the best Christmas CDs I've purchased to in a long time. Sit back, relax, and just listen.

The Tonight Show Band does a great job with all these numbers. All the numbers are arranged by Tommy Newsome or John Bainbridge. If you buy this CD for only the great arrangement of "Jingle Bells", you won't be sorry. You'll recognize all the selections. They're different slightly but performed tastefully. Snooky Young has some nice moments, too. There are vocals by the LA Children's Chorus and instrumental flavorings by the Pacific Brass and Desert Bells International. A fine addition to any Christmas CD collection.

Hands down the best CD in my extensive collection of Christmas music. There are very few "must own" CDs, but this is one of them!
