Many of the patterns lend themselves well to a variety of other types of cards, such as birthday, sympathy and get well cards. If you vary the threads and background colors used, you can create a surpirsingly different effect. This book contains instructions for 4 different languages:English, French, German and Dutch.

The designs have holiday themes but you will find that many of the patterns lend themselves quite well to many other types of cards. A bit pricey for it's size,

I was excited to get this book and use some of the ideas for Christmas cards. I was a bit disappointed when I actually saw it. It is a very small book with under 50 pages costing almost $17.00. What is sort of neat and confusing at the same time is that the instructions are in four different languages. It has some ideas to use beading with the stitching. If you are looking for a book that says "WOW! I can use alot of these ideas, this isn't the book for you. I would rate this as just an ok type of paper embroidery book. Not excellent, not completely bad either. Just ok.
