Listened to this record a ton in my youth and now play it in CD form for my 4 year old. I still enjoy it and she LOVES IT. Easily her favorite Christmas album. BIG WIN!

I have been waiting for this album to come out on CD for close to 10 years now (since I had kids on my own). I was raised with listening to this record (yes, my age is apparent). It was my most favorite part of my childhood when it came to Christmas. It brings back great memories. I bought the tape for it about 8 years ago on Ebay for like $15 knowing I was being ripped off but didn't care I wanted the album. We play it each Christmas during our Christmas Tree decorating event. It's a GREAT tradition. But I really wanted the CD b/c tapes are a rare breed now days. I gave up hope after about 5 years of looking each Christmas, until this year, and searched for it one more time, and found it on CD. The CD itself was very expensive ($30 new at one place and $20 used on others) so I looked for it on Amazon MP3 Downloads and found it for only $9. Thank Goodness my wife knows how to download and burn onto CD! LOL. They just released it this year it looks like, and it is a good CD. My only 2 complaints are this, which is why I haven't made it 5 stars.
1. The original cartoon character voices aren't on it, they digitally replaced them with newer, crisper voices, but it sounds a bit odd since I so used to the original voices. Still the same exact Conway Twitty though, same songs, same order.
2. The record and tape both went right into the next track flawlessly, making it sound like one single track played at once, and no breaks. The CD has to go from track to track and it causes some small quick spaces between songs. I can live with it though considering I've been waiting forever for this album to finally come to CD! You will absolutely LOVE it, your kids will absolutely LOVE it for sure.

I just received the Conway Twitty "A Twismas Story" CD and am very pleased that it came before Christmas. My wife and I grew up listening to this as a child and now that we are starting our own family we decided to add a little of our child hood back into Christmas. This made a great gift to my wife and she is very happy!
