I read the book about this tortoise and hippo and decided to get the plush doll set. I don't have kids, and am a middle aged lady, but it was so adorable, I just had to add it to my stuffed animal collection. It is as cute as it looks online. They are sewed together so they'll always be a pair. Really cute! Everyone will delight in this product!

I was intrigued by the book that this toy is based on -- a real life friendship bewtween two creatures. I use the toy as a decoration and because of my lifelong fondness for turtles..

Soo adorable to have the set of Owen and Mzee to keep interest in the books, and just to think about them. The story is wonderful and heartwarming; and the stuffed animals keep the kids aware of how special it is.

My girlfriend's daughter loves Owen and Mzee. I got her the book to go with it. Having the true story of Owen and Mzee in her mind really made her appreciate these plush toys even more. The only improvement I could think of would be if they were a little bigger. But she has so many toys on her bed already, I guess it's good that they're a little small.

Actually, I sent this set to England for a christmas gift. It was for a dear friend to read and share with her grandchildren. The feedback I got was that the stuffed animals were great and the children loved Nana reading the story to them.
