Editorial Reviews

Our hands project our conscious will, from inside our mind-space to the outside physical world.

The verse of Genesis can be seen as an idealized human hand that displays gestures for each of the original 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

This concept is discussed and the gestures for each of the letters are shown on this program.

5.0 out of 5 stars requires intense study, January 26, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Meru - Dance of the Hebrew Letters [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is one of a series of videos made by Stan Tenen. In it he demonstrates hand gestures which correlate to the forms of the Hebrew letters and his mathematical thesis. He also describes their symbolic meanings in brief, which are congruous with ancient Jewish teaching. It is a short video tape, meant to be an addition to his previous video lectures. To understand his thinking, it is important to study his large body of research, spanning 3 decades. This includes his video series and an extensive collection of peer-reviewed published writings. Stan is a mathematician, a scientist, and a respectful student of Judaism and Kaballah - absolutely not "New Age", as he attests himself. His work combines physics, geometry and other "universal" and scientific disciplines to create a synthesis between Judaism and modern science. Stan has the support, and is in the company, of many great thinkers, including the late Arthur Young and some of the great Rabbis. This video is for the serious student, and one who is dedicated to understanding his research. Check his Meru Foundation website for a brief glimpse. As for the airplane? It merely attests to Stan's commendable humility, and his need for funding. Want higher production quality? Send a donation.

1.0 out of 5 stars Brought me to tears!, October 15, 2002

stunningly, amazingly, and in all otherways stupid. Not an educational film -- a mystic new age philosophy wrapped in a guise of Judaisiam. Watch out for the Airplane!!!
