5.0 out of 5 stars Shipping was great and so was the price
Furnace filters are outrageously priced. I was happy to find a place where I could get 4 inch or better filters for a more reasonable price (Its still about $1.50 to make I bet.). Shipping was good from these guys and I got a good supply to last me a while. Having used 4 inch filters for a while I think the quality on these is as good as anything else I've seen. Not...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre third party product
I bought this product because of the price for what seemed like an equivalent product to the Honeywell or AAF (American Air Filter) product. But it a poor cousin. It is cheaper, but what you get is less as well. Note the key differences compared to the AAF product:

1 - It is thinner: 3-5/8 inches versus 4-3/8 inches.
2 - It has only 13 folds of the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre third party product, February 9, 2011
This review is from: 20 x 25 x 4 Merv 12 (Case of 6) Furnace Air Filters
I bought this product because of the price for what seemed like an equivalent product to the Honeywell or AAF (American Air Filter) product. But it a poor cousin. It is cheaper, but what you get is less as well. Note the key differences compared to the AAF product:

1 - It is thinner: 3-5/8 inches versus 4-3/8 inches.
2 - It has only 13 folds of the filter versus 18.

It all adds up to less filtration surface. Pay less, get less. I'll buy the AAF or Honeywell next time.

The filter is not the size as the Honeywell filter. I ordered a 20X25X4 filter but I got a 19 1/2 X 24 1/2 X 3 5/8 filter.

Not sure if the MERV 12 rating really makes a difference (I had MERV 8 before and I haven't notice a difference in the allergen level.).

1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading size and poor quality, February 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 20 x 25 x 4 Merv 12 (Case of 6) Furnace Air Filters
I ordered these 20"x25"x4" filters in the hopes of saving some money vs. 3M filters purchased locally from Lowes, but it turned out the be a poor decision for three reasons:
1. The filters are NOT 20"x25"x4" (which is the normal dimension for a Honeywell HVAC system). Although it is mentioned in the technical details (which I missed since they are far down in the item description), I find it dishonest and misleading to advertise them as "20x25x4" in the header line.
2. The filters are seemingly much lower quality than a typical 3M filter I currently use. They weigh about half as much as a 3M and the filter element is about half the thickness, so I doubt they perform as well in particulate capture.
3. The filters were received damaged - the corner of the box was ripped and the first two filters crushed (won't seal in the HVAC system).

I already have a request back to Nordic Pure for a full refund - and I am hoping they do the right thing. I'll go back to the brand names - they are worth the extra price.

These filters are very good. They last approximately 6 months before a change is needed. I'm very satisfied with the quality of this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value and Quality, June 25, 2008
This review is from: 20 x 25 x 4 Merv 12 (Case of 6) Furnace Air Filters
This product is an excellent value and the quality is fantastic. I have a large heat pump system and this filter is almost exactly the same as the original that came with the system and at about 1/3 of the cost. Fantastic! I highly recommend these filters and I will absolutely buy them again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great price, November 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 20 x 25 x 4 Merv 12 (Case of 6) Furnace Air Filters
I purchased this and the 16 x 25 x 4 item, as I have two furnaces. These are a tad smaller than the Honeywell versions that sell for $40 to $60 and fit my electronic air cleaner slots well. Both of the $600 electronic air cleaners I had died in less than 4 years and these do the job just as well, I opted not to fix or replace the electronic filters but to use these filters instead.

This is a great buy on the 20x25x4 air filters. My furnace requires the 4 inch filters and these are much less expensive than buying them locally.
