This is a live album featuring the current line-up of the band as well as guest appearances by former members and friends and siblings of the group. (It seems as if everyone in the traditional Quebec music scene is related by blood or marriage.) If you have the other albums by the group (and you should), you will already have these songs, but the live versions are generally faster and, well, live. This must have been a great party and the fun and excitement are catching. These are all wonderful musicians. If you like fiddle, accordion, guitar, piano, and hurdy-gurdy in various combination, lively dance music with a strong Celtic connection, romantic and bawdy songs in French, you'll love this. By the way, a great Irish singer once said that the essence of a typical Irish love song is "I loved you from afar and now you're dead." The crux of a typical Quebec love song seems to be "I loved you and you turned me down. What I fool I was; I think I'll get drunk." Can't argue with that.

Saw them at Lowell folk festival in Mass. These guys have a lot to offer in talent. Very entertaining with french vocals, guitar, keys, hurdy gurdy and percussion is unreal with amplified foot tapping mat,Oliver Demers nails tempo while playing violin-Amazing!! They have recorded much with great engineering on sound, But to see them live makes it all come together. Cant say enough about the progressive arrangements with Irish ,Scottish flare. I love this sound!!
