5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Tea Infuser On The Market Today
What can I say that the title hasn't already said? This infuser contains the tea leaves while allowing for plenty of room to steep. It's big enough to hold 10 teaspoons of loose leaf tea! I highly recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Single Solder Point = Broken in Days
Hard to imagine saying something that cost $2.45 is not worth it, but I got 2 of these and both were broken within a week. There's a single solder point on each that broke and the latch and chain falls off.

I really like this tea ball but it was way too big. It is perfect for herbs and spices in soup though, so I am very glad I bought it. Great service too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Jumbo Tea Infuser, September 12, 2010

Buy with caution. The hinge is flimsy and the overall design is awkward. It will break easily, but if you are careful and pay attention, it will last a long time. It's major flaw, apart from the hinge, is that it allows a little of the contents to escape. I should have bought the more expensive mesh basket, the Endurance Herb Infuser RSVP Endurance Jumbo Herb Infuser or the 5" Locking Steel Mesh Tea infuserJumbo Spice Ball Herb Infuser, 5" x 3-1/2".

3.0 out of 5 stars OK for the price, not 100% stainless steel though., February 15, 2011

I bought this "stainless" steel ball to dry hop my kegged homebrew. I just finished my keg that I used this product in, and both rivets that hold the hemispheres together were disintegrated. Granted, I'm putting this product through much more abuse than a daily 5 minute steep of tea, but if you're going to market a product as stainless, especially one that's advertised as suitable for immersion in liquids, it should be 100% stainless. I plan on buying some stainless steel wire to replacing the rivets, so dollar-wise I'm still coming out ahead, but it is still aggravating.

Have gotten into the canning mode this fall. Found this product very useful for infusing flavorings without leaving pbits and pieces of herbes and/or spices in the product to be canned.

Tea ball was what we ordered, but the packaging was not sufficient. The tea ball arrived smashed. We had to open up the packaging and un-smash the ball and then re-package the item. Since the packaging included the instructions, the gift did not have instructions when we gave it to our daughter.

2.0 out of 5 stars The 3" Mesh Wonder Ball is a poor product, clasp broke after 10 uses., December 16, 2010

I purchased the 3" Mesh Wonder Ball tea infuser for steeping loose leaf green tea. I only filled the ball 1/4 of capacity. The tea leaves expanded while steeping and there was still room in the ball. The clasp broke the 10th time I used it. The chain broke around the 3rd time I used it. I wasn't annoyed with the chain breaking...not a big deal. However, the clasp breaking was a big deal for me. I purchased the mesh wonder ball so I wouldn't have to strain the tea to separate the loose leaves. I will purchase another brand. I know the price is cheap...that's why I bought this ball, however, it's really not worth the couple dollar savings to have a tea ball that doesn't work. I will try the Swedish Traditions mesh tea ball.

This is a find. It holds the right amount for an entire pot with loose tea. I feel in love with Rioboos tea on a trip to Swaziland and this brews the perfect pot. Clean up is easy, it was inexpensive but built well enough to be used dozens of times and not break yet. Be gentle with the cleaning as it is not heavy duty but you will be happy you invested in it, if you drink loose tea or herbal potions.

Enjoy
