Well, I thought this was a great soundtrack, what caught my attention most of all was that there's the most beautiful song I ever heard on this album, it's called One More Time, sung by Laura Pausini, the song was originally written by Richard Marx. If I could hold you one more time... like in the days when you were mine, I'd look at you 'till I was blind, so you would stay, I'd say a prayer each time you'd smile, cradle the moment, like a child, I'd stop the world if only I... could hold you one more time. Wow and this girl's voice is soooo powerful! I can't wait 'till she makes an english album, I know she is italian and will have a new album soon, I think this soundtrack is wonderful to listen to anytime, it is perfect for the true and hopeless romantic! Buy this soundtrack and enjoy the power behind "One More Time".

I have both of the Message in a Bottle cds. They are each filled with wonderful music. Unfortunately my absolute favorite song from the movie, "Beyond the Blue" a duet by EmmyLou Harris and Patty Griffin is NOT on either cd. Beware!

It seems I am forever tracking down an errant song. Oftentimes the song is a critical heartbeat moment of the film - as in this case. Why such an important song is missing confounds me.

If you are considering this cd because you want THAT CRITICAL SONG played during the montage showing Theresa and Garret finding their lives hopeful after years of despair and loneliness, you won't find it on either of the Message in a Bottle cds. You need to add to your cart the soundtrack for the movie, Where the Heart is. That beautiful song also played at the very end of that movie AND THOSE FOLKS had the sense to put it ON THEIR SOUNDTRACK! I have not found it on any of EmmyLou Harris' or Patty Griffin's cds. Maybe it was a licensing thing, I don't know... I don't really care. Just figured I would offer a heads up and a helpful hint!

Liked the movie so I got the CD... Great, easy listening couples CD. Great by a fireplace. I play it when I sail as well. This isn't the official soundtrack (1 or 2 songs were not in the movie) but the main essence is caught. There are 3 instrumental songs that they lumped at the end but it does flow with the song progression. Get it for your Lady even if you haven't seen the movie :)

I mistakenly bought this Soundtrack CD instead of the CD containing the musical SCORE of the movie - I was looking for the absolutely lovely background music and when seeing this "soundtrack" CD, picked it up, THINKING I was getting it. It's 24 hrs. later and I'm still upset. So if you like to be sung to, this is nice. But for soothing background ambiance, seek out the CD score of this movie instead. Learn by my boo-boo.

Wonderful mix of various styles that certainly complimented the film. The movie itself was a downer, but the soundtrack made it worth sitting through to the end. Surprising strength from unknowns like Nine Sky Wonder, Beth Neilsen Chapman and Yve & Adam compliment the power of Edwin McCain, Sarah McLachlan, Faith Hill and Hootie. One of the best soundtracks I have heard in a long time and well worth buying.

If I could give this a perfect 10 rating I would. I loved this CD with it's mixture of beautiful vocals, especially the rarely heard "Carolina" by Sheryl Crow, and instrumentals so much that I purchased the Original Motion Picture Score as soon as it became available and I'd rate that a perfect 10 as well. I never go anywhere without them.

It's a mixture of various artists with 'A Message In A Bottle'. It soothed my Soul to No End. I just Love the emotions one feels when listening to this Touching CD. And Being In Love, I could hardly resist The Inspiration I felt from the Depth of Such Passion. Music can be such a moving experience, something our every day life seems to take away. Emotion. I had to cry when I heard 'One More Time', 'I Love You' and 'Let Me Let Go'. I just couldn't resist the depth it took me and yet Lifted me into Inspiration. Yes All Music has an Appreciation, but this one has 'A Delight To The Senses' that is unbelievable. It's A Must Have. You Could Almost Fly...I think I did ,.) Oh soo Very Touching..buy IT. Your Princess xxO

One of the best CD's I have ever purchased! Great variety of music and lyrics...very moving. A must for those that love a beautiful mix of contemporary and classical music. Never rated a CD before - the music on this CD must be shared!

This was an AWESOME CD! The songs are very eclectic, yet I believe that if you like one you'll like them all. It very romantic and inspiring. I recommend it as much as I do the movie itself!

I liked the background music from the film, so I bought the soundtrack. What a great purchase it was. I do not remember the actual songs from the movie, but they are absolutely beautiful, and I have discovered several new performers/groups that I otherwise probably would never have heard of. I assumed Clannad was the kind of music only your mom could love (if she were Irish). I am happy to say that I was wrong on that count - and I immediately went out and bought a Clannad CD. The musical score by Gabriel Yared is wonderful. With each new film that he scores, he just gets better.
