INTERESTING PAGE-TURNER THAT GIVES COMFORT,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
I found this book both interesting and comforting. (I have to wonder if the people with the extremely negative reviews actually read the same book I did.) Mr. Richardson is, to my knowledge, never states his religion in this book. I do know that I have given this book to several friends of varying religious affiliations, and each has enjoyed it and thanked me. No, it may not be as "polished" as some books, it may not be as challenging as a Dickens novel, but it is a man telling a very personal (and interesting!) story in a straightforward and humble manner. Do you have to be a professional writer prior to having a "near death experience"? Is having a "ghost writer" a prerequisite to sharing something wonderful with others? I would think any person who has ever wondered about what happens after death would enjoy this book. I also like that it ends with a VERY POSITIVE note that even an atheist could appreciate - serve one another!

Awsome - I bought 2 copies,

This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
I have read and owned many NDE books. My wife says I'm "obsessed" but I would call it "passionate". Thought I had heard it all before but this book taught me a few new things. I borrowed the book from a friend who recently lost his disabled daughter. It really put things in perspective and changed his life for the better. After reading his copy, I purchased two copies: one for me (my wife wants to read it next) and one for my dad. I tell my dad that the reason he still around is because there is something important that he is suppose to do before passing on.

This book impacted my way of thinking unlike any other! It is so exciting to pick up a book, read it in a couple of hours and feel refreshed! I feel as if I am a better person and therefore will be happier, treat others better and try (even if it is in a small way) improve my life and way of thinking after reading this inspirational book. Thank you Lance Richardson for having the courage and the faith to write such a life-changing book. P.S. I believe it really is true, too.

This Book Saved My Life,
This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
I was in High School when I was referred to read this book. My Best Friend/Boyfriend had just killed himself and I was hopeless in life. I was left roaming the halls of my high school, broken hearted & glossy eyed. My High School Counselor pulled me into his office and attempted to lift my spirits. He then proceeded to tell me, "I don't know why Rebecca, but I just feel prompted to have you read this book."
The Message, LITERALLY saved my life. I was overcome with the rumor that 'if someone takes their own life - they automatically go to hell'. I needed reassurance that I'd see my friend again. This book was inspired and the story of Lance actually seeing what's on the other side gave me faith and the assurance I was seeking that I'd see my Best Friend again. Although this story isn't about someone who's taken their own life, it did give me a glimpse of what Heaven might be like and ones witness of the other side. My Counselor was inspired to have me read this because this was exactly what I needed to hear. Lance Richardson's experience in Heaven and all the lessons he learned along the way - calmed my spirit and filled me with Love. It gave me hope to finish my journey here on earth. My favorite quote in the book is: "Who would love you more, and desire to help you more, than your family and closest friends." (Referenced to spiritual messengers). I loved this book SO MUCH that in the 5 years since I read this, my own copy has been past around to my loved ones over 15 times! The spine is close to splitting, it's been loved so much! You WILL NOT be dissappointed with this book. It may even save your life :)

Excellent,

I found it to be very interesting and full of hope to say the least. One reviewer mentioned mentioned it as a book of Mormon fiction, but I frankly can't remember the author mentioning his religion once. In any case it didn't feel preachy in the least. Excellent book...

The Message,
By Rich (Rexburg, ID) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
The Message is an inspiration to families! It makes you want to live you life in a way that will allow you to see the places the author talks about. Your spirit is filled with the desire to be a better person for your family and your country. His experience has given those who read the book a tool to guide our lives by. Any veteran would be proud to read this book and hear the things said about the freedoms this country enjoys. I would read it each year to remind myself of the things I need to work on to make my life more meaningful. I thouroughly enjoyed each page of this book!

GOD'S MESSAGE TO THE WORLD,
By
This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
If you are seeking an explanation of what comes next, after we pass from this mortal existence, then the author will give you a glimpse of the Spirit World as he briefly explains the most important experiences that were impressed upon his mind. Specific detail is not as important as knowing how to make the most of this earthly life, and that there is a life beyond. But, the most important part of this book is the actual message that the author left with the world:
(1) "We have turned away from the morals and values which once made us strong. (2) We have adopted a belief that, all truth is relative and changes with time. I was taught in that truth is eternal. (3) It was impressed upon my mind in such a way, as I shall never forget that God is the Father of us all and loves each of us with a greater love than we can comprehend. We must turn back to Him, not allowing Him to become a stranger to our nation. (4) We must come to an understanding that family is the center of their perfect society, and that we must not only retain it as the central unit of our society and safeguard it, but vastly strengthen it. For within those walls lie the answers to most of the problems facing our nation today. (5) I was once again reminded that, the founding fathers were inspired in their efforts and that America is destined to become the home of the New Jerusalem, the Zion of the last days, where all people who desire may reside in peace and love. I was told that God will protect America and her people as long as we serve Him. I was shown that if we do not turn back, as a people, to God, family and country, we will soon be destroyed. It was explained that though many would choose this course of self destruction, many others would desire the peace of God, and the freedoms and liberty of a Zion. (6) The greatest principle in the creation of a society such as ours is Service. Each person in our society is involved in service to others continually. It is the mode of Heaven. Each seeks for the betterment of the whole, not themselves. Each seeks to serve God, our Father, through following His command of `Love One Another'. Service is the action form of loving one another. When you truly love someone, you seek to serve them. Your concerns are for their happiness and welfare. If you will go out and serve one another, you will learn to love one another in a way you have never experienced before. If you will serve one another, you will love God and grow closer to Him. And if you will serve one another, your nation will be transformed into a haven of real peace and freedom. Our very hearts will be changed. We will break down the barriers which divide us and cause a peace and love to permeate our cities. It will, indeed, become a Zion one day." I will add that this book was published within a year or two of his NDE, whereas, some of the other authors were not so prompt in recording their experience, perhaps overlooking or even embellishing some of the details.

Amazing, spiritually uplifting, best book i've ever read.,
This review is from: The Message (Paperback)
wow, i couldn't put this book down! i read it in one night. what an amazing experience! As someone who has lost several close family members, this book really hit home. It touched my heart deeply. i fully and completely believe this miraculous experience, and i'm so thankful that they are willing to share it with the rest of the world. I never cry while reading books, but during this one i lost track of how many times the spirit brought tears to my eyes. by far the best book i've ever read. You won't regret reading this. Not only does it provide magnificent information about the spirit world, but it's also a testimony-builder and a comforter to those who have lost loved ones. a must read. it's simply amazing.
