This book was an excerpt of one of von Rad's larger books. He sought to make the prophetic tasks accessible to Old Testament readers. He broke down the time frames of each prophet which made the prophetic material in the traditional Old Testament easier to place in historical eras. This, of course, helps the Old Testament reader understand the material better and come up with improved interpretation of it.
I recommend this book for those interested in Old Testament studies.
