5.0 out of 5 stars A baby christian
I am not a student anymore, well, not in the practical sense. I am what my friends would call a baby christian though - my husband and I recently got baptised in May and God has changed our lives in amazing ways! With that said, I haven't ever read the bible cover to cover. Maybe most people don't read it that way - but I asked God to show me what bible to buy and he...

3.0 out of 5 stars new and updated
The print is small, and the paper they printed it on doesn't seem kind to your eyes, but for younger people it would be great I am sure. The version is different for us older folks, but I wanted to try something new this year in my reading the bible through. I try a new version each year so this year it was this one. It reads more like a novel then a bible, the verses...

5.0 out of 5 stars A baby christian, September 4, 2007

I am not a student anymore, well, not in the practical sense. I am what my friends would call a baby christian though - my husband and I recently got baptised in May and God has changed our lives in amazing ways! With that said, I haven't ever read the bible cover to cover. Maybe most people don't read it that way - but I asked God to show me what bible to buy and he led me to this one. It's great for me, I can actually understand it without going to bible college. I like the translation and it is easy reading. I will go for the NIV version when I understand the bible more. I am plugged in at my church and will be getting "into the word" more as I grow in my faith. So, the moral of the story is, you don't have to be really young and a student to need a remix version of the bible. If you don't feel like you can sit down and read scripture cover to cover, then you can start with this. As a bonus, I like it that it's pink. I mostly like it that I am saved and God is working in my life. I wish I had a stronger relationsip with God when I WAS young, then I could have made better life decisions!

The version is different for us older folks, but I wanted to try something new this year in my reading the bible through. I try a new version each year so this year it was this one. It reads more like a novel then a bible, the verses are to the side not in the actual reading, which I like better as it flows easier. The version itself is different, and I find myself smiling in some of the terms they use. I think it would be great for younger people and for someone who is a new Christian. I find I have read it faster just because of the way it flows.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Message Remix, May 14, 2007
This review is from: The Message//REMIX 2.0 Hypercolor Pink (Turtleback)
LaTonnya Peterson- I bought this bible for my mother on this mother's day. I like it compared to all the other Remix Bibles in Hypercolor because this one has the largest print. It was hard for me to decide because they all look so cool. I have a hard time reading the regular bible, so now I am going to purchase one for myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend "The Message 2.0", October 10, 2007
"The Message" has been a tremendous help to me. While other translations have often been hard to get through, this book makes it hard to put down. As I am also reading the book, "Unveiled At Last" by Bob Sjogren which has Bible verses to reference, I have been using "The Message" to look them up in. Many times I not only look up the indicated verse, but end up reading much more of the Bible chapter. The 2.0 version does have the verses numbered. Also, I like the binding on this edition. The coated plastic-like cover makes it easy to study with, since it folds back easily without hurting the book.

I love this bible! I was reading through the bible in my NASB version and got all the way to Deuteronomy 7! (A huge accomplishment for me). Then I received my Hot Pink Message bible and started reading from Deut 7. I loved it so much that I had to start reading all the way at the beginning of Genesis just because I knew that I would have missed out on so much. My husband is going to get him a Message bible and two of my friends are getting them a copy also.

It is so easy to read and understand. You can really hear the heart of the Father in our language!

I love it and it has actually made me so motivated to pick up my bible and read (for the first time)!

I would recommend this bible to anyone in all walks of life. This bible would bring the scriptures alive to the younger generation, but also for the older generation. I love it, I love it!

I bought this for my daughter because the NIV just wasn't working for her. She loves the translation and the product is well made.

I like this version, it is nice to have on hand, although I prefer NCV. I thought it would be helpful to use with my "tweens". I do wish each verse were numbered. The verses are numbered to the side, when comparing other translations I have to really look to find the same verse.

This bible is amazing! I looked at it in a Barnes & Noble, but it was $40. I purchased it at Amazon for about $25. I am a senior in college and can really connect with and understand God's word using this bible. I recommend it to any young adult! Everyone thinks it looks really cool too!

There were some questions my husband and I have had in the past about this version of the bible based on some of the translation (let's go fishing boys instead of I will make you fishers of men), but when my 13yr old son came home from youth camp asking for the message remix, my husband thought it would be good to get him something he actually wanted to read. He still be hearing from our NASB versions and he'll be using an ESV at school and the ESV is what our pastor uses in his Sunday sermons and he'll have plenty of resources available to compare if he has any questions, so I decided to go ahead and get him this one. Since it arrived, he has been in the Word everyday without me telling him to be and he has already asked several questions and came to me with differences he has noticed. I think it was a good decision and he thinks the "cover is cool".
