Julie Gillentine's MESSENGERS is built on a firm foundation of painstaking archeological, historical and astronomical research. Set against the backdrop of ancient monuments, the heroine's quest parallels the spiritual journey each of us must undertake on the path of return. Well-schooled in the ancient mysteries, the author weaves the threads of this spiritual parable into a story of love and redemption that spans lifetimes.

I read MESSENGERS last year and became so immersed in the story and the characters that I could hardly put it down until I had turned the final page.

My certification in Alchemical Hypnotherapy gave me a deep appreciation for the hypnotic regression portions of Gillentine's book, and so many facets of it seemed to parallel my own life long spiritual quest.

Anyone with an interest in or resonance to: Egyptian themes, the mysteries of Atlantis, "star lore", the possibilities and potentialities of reincarnation, and the notion that our destiny (and our soul mates) may indeed follow us through time, will love this book.

The vivid descriptions in Julie Gillentine's MESSENGERS awakened deep feelings. I felt transported back in time to ancient Egypt and Atlantis. MESSENGERS is well researched and accurately describes the path of initiation. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in ancient wisdom traditions.

If you've ever felt the tug of truth at your shoulder and stepped onto a path to find it, this book is for you. It is written with such a command of wisdom gleened from so many mystery schools that each page teaches as well as entertains.

The author's character development works in the case of each individual as well as in the ecceltic group that they form as the story unfolds.This book has a smart ending that left me anxiously awaiting Ms. Gillentine's next one.

The book interested me from the start because of the material it covers -- pyramids, Akashic Records, etc. The artwork on the front jacket is also a real eyecatcher, I have to admit. Beautiful!

But as I started to read, I kept running into many poorly handled changes in the characters' points of view, the first being in chapter one where I wasn't sure if the POV was that of Alex or the dog. It turned out to be the dog. I tried to ignore these occurances and just let the story carry me on it's own merits, but it just didn't work. These mistakes kept jolting me back into reality or just plain confusing me. I'm afraid I have to give the book only one star because of lack of craftsmanship. The use of a sharp pencil during the final editing of the manuscript would have helped the book tremendously.
