Amazon.com Review
This chef's knife has a broad blade (at 2-1/2 inches, it's about 1/2 inch wider than many manufacturers' blades) and a curved edge for rocking through a chopping task. The 10-inch blade suits big-handed cooks. The lightweight, inexpensive knife's stainless-steel blade is stamped rather than forged, and it has no bolster, so it's sharp from tip to heel. The partial-tang handle is molded from a textured, nonslip, rubberized polymer. The knife is dishwasher-safe, but it's best to hand wash it in soapy water to keep the blade sharp.

Product Description
Messermeister strives to provide the highest quality of cutlery and culinary tools to both food-service professionals and home cooks. We are committed to designing new and innovative products and sourcing the world to find the very best quality at the right price for the market. The blades are stamped from high carbon, German krupp stainless tool steel and attached to industrial strength santoprene handles. The oversized textured handles provide a comfortable non slip grip and are constructed for the rigors of commercial useage. The partial tang extends partially through the molded handle, which allows the handle to be securely fastened to the blade. Stamped knives are noticeably lighter than forged knives, which is an attribute for those who are not comfortable with heavy knives. A Four Seasons blade features an incredibly sharp edge and has a rockwell hardness of 56, which allows it to hold its edge for a long time. A chef's knife is the most versatile knife in a kitchen and the most used blade by professional chefs. The blade is shaped so that it can peel, trim, slice, dice, chop and mince vegetables, fillet fish and cut meat. Each part of the knife is designed to perform a different task. The tip is used for fine work such as paring, coring, trimming and peeling. The middle edge is used for slicing, dicing, chopping and other precision cuts. The heel area is needed when a task requires force and the wedge shape to split dense material. The spine can be used to crack shells and the flat side of the blade can crush garlic. This Four Seasons chefs knife measures 10-inch. Messermeister offers a guaranteed lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
