This book has the distinguishment of being written to the Jew and Christian alike without crossing lines. Familiar Biblical events are given additional setting and explanation which serve to enhance the reading of the original Bible passage. It has helped me to understand more clearly not only that things happened but WHY they happened. The author presents his points in a neutral yet straightforward manner. It is easy reading about profound details of events and dialogue we all know and love

If you want to read what the Bible says, read it in Hebrew. If you want to hear a Jewish perspective, read Elie Weisel. This book is just more blatant Christian propoganda with a thin veneer of "Jewish" theology which is in more indepth analysis is a yarmulke-wearing baptist.
