Nice, late-edition material from a key pioneer of Brazilian bossa nova,

Carlos Lyra"Mestres Da MPB" (Warner-Brasil, 1994) ----------------------------------------- An interesting, mixed-bag retrospective which leans heavily on a 1987 concert album and several early-'70s efforts. The live stuff is great: Lyra performing bossa classics -- many of which he wrote! -- solo acoustic to a lively and appreciative audience. Recommended! Best bossa nova ever played,
By Fernando Cubria (Madrid, Spain) - See all my reviews

Minha Namorada, Lobo bobo, Saudade fez um samba... and many more. If you liked them played by Joao Gilberto you MUST listen these songs played by its composer. Simply that: the most beautiful bossanova ever played.
