About the Author
Guy Tozer is an independent management consultant, lecturer, and author on enterprise information management. He has served as IT Strategy Manager and Data Architect within large corporate multinationals and software house environments. He holds a B.Sc. with Honors in Mathematics/Computing from the University of Southampton (UK), is a Chartered Engineer and member of the British Computer Society.

Great introduction to a complex subject,

Wether you have no clue of what meta data are or your a meta data expert, you musy read this book. It covers all meta data type (operational, DSS related and XML) with a non technical (meaning over technical) approachI did particularly appreciated the Data warehouse meta data description even though I am a specialist myself Only pitfall, it is more a description of the topic than a guide or a "how to" so if you have a project tomorrow, you'd rather deepen your culture with another book !
