There are several reasons why I like this book. One is the completeness of the information and descriptions of the techniques. That made it easy to follow and get results I was happy with. Another reason I like this book is that it showed many different types of projects that embossed metal can be used on. As a mixed-media artist, this fueled my creative spirit and I have all sorts of ideas and plans. Lastly, the tips about the use of the tools and accessories (like using the paste to fill the back-side of the embossed design so that it doesn't get crushed, and the use of a piece of leather when embossing from the back to get a nice design)were, in my mind, the keys to my early success.

I met Ms. Muldoon at the Craft and Hobby show this past July, and she knows her stuff. She has not only published a great book with easy to follow instructions, photos, and inspirational projects, but she sells all the metal and tools to make this book work for the aspiring artist in everyone. The book details the use of tools and different metals but shows the reader how to apply special foils and cabachon stones. I would highly recommend this book.

This book is the full deal; you will learn the technique and the photographs in the book are truly inspiring. Magdalena's designs are beautiful. This book is well worth the money.

I was going to wait until I reviewed this book on my blog - but couldn't wait! I love this book. It is so well laid out; takes a beginner step-by-step, this has become my new obsession - and it is because of how well this one book was written. I have had rolls of foil in my house for about ten years - Lord knows what I thought about when I first bought them - maybe I was planning to try metal embossing way back then but did not have this book to guide me. If yo only buy one book on metal foil embossing - buy this one - then Cheryl Darrow's book " Metal Effects"and then "Pewter Plus" by Sandy Griffiths which is also a real winner. Thanks Magdalena Muldoon for turning me on to this wonderful craft !

This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in doing quality metal embossing. The materials used are the best and so are the tools. This is not for people who are not willing to invest in good equipment. Step-by-step instructions with pictures are easy to follow but, like most crafts, it is not as easy as it looks. Practice is required to handle metal. If you are willing to make effort and learn, all the different effects you can accomplish are included in this book. The author has included some wonderful gift ideas as well.

I have been making jewelry for several years and was just looking at new stuff.
The book is just excellent. Pictures are great the layout and the work is WOW.
The price was good too.

For an introductory book, this is awesome. I needed something that gave me the basics, explained the tools and gave me some initial patterns as I attempt to come up with my own for my wedding. This book provided all of that for me.

The "Metal Embossing Workshop" was a really great find for me. I'm just starting out, and it gives a lot of good information, with pictures. I'm still learning new things everytime I review it.

Received book in excellent condition and in a timely manner. A great primer for metal embossing.
