5.0 out of 5 stars Got an Itch?
I'm addicted to these. They reach where I need to and sturdy enough that I can apply a lot of pressure. I do tend to use them for other things like shutting the door when I don't want to get up and bugging my cats and picking up socks... I've broken two of them so far this way. But! I love them so much that I just bought myself three more. I'm stocking up!

1.0 out of 5 stars nice idea, but...
I love the portability factor, but the fingers are too dull to scratch my itch, and the telescoping handle rotates and collapses when I try to scratch harder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, August 23, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have somehow developed a chronic itch in the one place on my body that I can't reach -- right between my shoulder blades. Very frustrating, constantly rubbing myself against doorjambs, trying to stick a fork down my back, etc. This product is exactly what I need. I also like the fact that it telescopes and can actually be carried in the pocket like a pen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Retractable back scratcher, May 9, 2008
By
I had a previous one of these, it was weak and it bent as you used it. The "hand" kept turning around. Then it snapped. I search the internet and found the product. Amazon had the best price. I rec'd the item in the mail, and was very happy. They have improved the product. It has a re-enforcement on the top of the scratcher, by the hand. The material used to manufacter the product is much stronger. The hand no longer spins around and I am not afraid to really use it. Thanks to the company who made the back scratcher and thanks to Amazon who mailed the product to me asap. The price was right also.

4.0 out of 5 stars Scratch that Itch, August 19, 2007

This nifty scratcher telescopes so you can scratch that itch. Has a clip on the side. Thin and lightweight metal. It fits in my purse and doesn't bend. Nice, nifty product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not work well, December 31, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New Metal Expandable Telescopic Back Scratcher w/ Clip (Health and Beauty)
I bought this to be a back scratcher, but it does not work well for that purpose.

The scratching head is clipped to a series of cylinders so that it can telescope. Unfortunately, this also allows the scratching head to rotate quite freely. This means that by the time the "fingers" are maneuvered to the itch, they've usually spun away and (a) snag your (outer) clothing and (b) present nothing but smooth metal to your skin -- thus providing no relief.

1.0 out of 5 stars Backscratcher, June 23, 2009

I was disappointed in this particular extendable backscratcher. I paid $12.49 and it's worth about $2. It fell apart as soon as I opened the wrapping. I had to glue the scratching end onto the shaft. I thought that if I paid a little more for it than some of the other extendable backscratchers, that it would be of good quality. Not so. Don't waste your money on this one.

Was too small and the head swivels which makes it not stay in place when trying to use...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great item at first...till it broke, June 23, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased the telescopic scrather about 6 months ago and was more than happy with it initially till it broke last month. The item appears to be too flimsy for constant use when extended beyond 50%. Just a note of caution.

1.0 out of 5 stars Backscratcher fell apart quickly, July 13, 2008
The telescopic metal backscratcher broke into pieces in two weeks.
In fairness to the company, I have not contacted them for a refund or replcement. Who has time these days?
