Wow...I love it!,

What more can I say? This is Harry Gregson-Williams! I bet y'all are saying "Harry Gregson...?" Yes, the same guy who in "The Rock" showed us the meaning of "action music" and this is no exception. Heck, this will blow you're ears off and thats not a bad thing. Let's start with the great stuff about it. Track 1: Any MGS fan will love this, the same theme that everyone remembered from Metal Gear Solid and hummed for months and months after the first time they listened to it. Track 2: This almost sounds just like Track 4, "MINE", on the soundtrack Broken Arrow by Hans Zimmer---another great track. Now for some bad stuff--the Metal Gear(main)Theme is only played 2 times!!!! BUT, there is hope! Go to eBay(the review by E-Man told me this, thank you E-Man), and there is a CD called "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Vol. 2, The Other Side". It rocks! Trust me, the CD is 56 min. which is much longer than this at only 45 min... "Can't Say GoodBye To Yesterday"(At least, Tomorrow Never Dies!) The 2nd CD plays the theme 5 times and with both CDs you can sit back and enjoy the greatest game music over composed!P.S.I'm sure you must like the soundtrack for "Metal Gear Solid 1" too, so go check out "Speed" by Mark Mancina (another one of Zimmer's guys, so you know it's gonna be good!). P.S.S. If you can't find it anywhere else, then go and seek out Yoda Jedi Master, on planet Dagobah, help you he can.

Not too much to say about this. If you love metal gear and the soundtracks then this CD is for you. It's mostly instrumentals from the game (including the amazing intro cinematic) I love popping it in while I'm driving.

As soon I received the CD in the mail, I stuck it in my Discman, and hit PLAY. Within minutes of listening I was in love with it ! It's great music ! The music seems (to me) to be a clash - and a VERY GOOD CLASH - of classical and techno. They're slightly remixed, but that doesn't ruin a thing ! In fact sometimes it enhances it ! While much shorter than "The Other Side", it's a great compliment to it; Both albums compliment each other, yet are great alone ! This is a great soundtrack you'll want to get your hands on - even if it means stealthily infiltrating an armed base to get it!

I was very impressed at how close this score was to an actual movie score. Every track will take your breath away. This is definately worth the money! I also enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 2: the Other Side, which is another soundtrack based on this game. Both CD's are AMAZING. You won't be disapointed.

what can i say, Harry Gregson-Williems is simply one of the best composers of today, and this is one of the best score's he's done!. First just because this is a game soundtrack dosen't mean that it is not good, being one of the first film composer to score a game, shows us that scoring a game, is as easy as scoring film, but this is only for Harry Gregson(Zimmer, Rabin, or Powell) or Metal Gear fan, heck I'm a MG fan and I didn't really like the first score, but i listen to this one all the time, it is as good as any of his other scores(besides Spy Game). But this cd is to short, make sure you get the 2th cd "Metal Gear Solid 2: The Other Side" you can find it on ebay and half.com. If you like MG1-2 then try Speed by Mark Mancina its a good one to

I'm a fan of the Series Metal Gear Solid, but I never took the time to really listen to the games's music. I bought this CD and was blown away, it's amazing how great the score is. The main theme is just incredable. The rest of the score is just alright, but it's the first track, the main there, that really sells the CD. I'm giddy to hear the MGS3 three soundtrack coming soon.

Its great-but only if you cared for the main themes, of course THE metal Gear theme we all know and love- but really all this had was all the cinematic tunes and Boss battles. What I really wish this had was EVERY SONG like the 2 disc "MGS3; Snake Eater" , I woulda have really enjoyed it if there was the ambient cool-jazz background music you hear as you roam the Big Shell, partcularly the tune you hear while sneaking about the Dining Hall. But if its just the stuff I mentioned above you are lookin for, youve found it.
