I love these post lights. I have two on the rail posts by the back steps on the deck. I'm ordering a few more. The light is very white and bright. Love them!

Lots of good reviews on this item. One of my lights didn't work out of the box but had a husband who could fix it....the blub was askew and barely attached. He was able to attach and straighten it out too. Both lights are not as bright as I had hoped. Also the broken up pattern via the grid pattern on the box itself is not helpful to putting out the light I hoped they could provide. I may still use them this summer on a bike trip as a light weight source of light along which can keep itself charged by riding on the top of our bike trailer. I may see if there is anything I can do to reflect more light and less the wierd pattern it casts out instead. I have solid no textured acrylic and also reflective aluminum for making you own grow sytems for garden plants that might have possiblities. We'll only take one of the pair along. They did come fast and no shipping problems. But the one was defunct until we fixed it as pointed out above. I saw similar lights being sold as 10 LED's and also double the price but perhaps they are brighter...it's the textured clear sides I object to the most. If they get a good charge through the large picture windows they hold brightness well into the night. Fade out by morning usually. So if you want to take them as a camp light it's a bit iffy. I wanted something we could play cards by or even when needed eat by. These just don't quite cut it as they come. Like I said perhaps I'll manage to get more light out of them by playing around with other materials keeping the functioning light and solar cells as they are.
