The badges make great party favors. We got them to use for our son's birthday party. While they are somewhat thin metal, they are still quite a value for the price. They use safety pins on the back to attach them to clothes, so be careful with them.

I had purchased some PLASTIC badges to hand out to kids during my shift at work. They had plastic clips which would break if any kind of pressure was exerted on them. Nothing like the look of disappointment on a kids face after the badge you gave em breaks when they are trying to put them on their shirt! I bought these metal ones in the hopes they would be more sturdy. They do fit the bill. There is a metal loop in the back of the badge. The loop comes with a safety pin placed in it. I usually give the badge to the adult with the child and point out the fact it needs to be attached with a safety pin. Don't want some unscrupulous parent trying to sue me because their kid took their eye out (it only takes one)! I plan to remove all the safety pins and place dog tag chains through the loops. The dog tag chains break away when pulled on too hard and the kid can wear the badge around their neck. These come individually wrapped. The company includes labels which you can affix to the badge so you can write down a name. It would have been more convenient if each individually packaged badge had the label included. But that just a very minor complaint.

My son is so excited to give these out at the birthday party. He thinks it is so cool we can write his friends names on them.
