I have MGS and I chose this particular stratigie guide because my friend recommended it.It had greatly illustrated maps and stratigies on how to beat the bosses and the game.

This guide for MGS is so good. It has detailed maps with strategies for almost everything. This is by far the best MGS guide. I recomend this guide to everyone except that lair from Vietnam.

this book is good. the maps are detailed, and their lists of items and weapons are decent. However, the boss strategies aren't very good, and the VR training guide is very simple and isn't detailed enough. Still, it's one of the best MGS guides.

If you are an all-out video game master like me, then you need to know two things: 1) Where you are going in a game, and 2) Where everyone else is going in a game. In Metal Gear Solid, you must figure your way around various soldiers and guards...and it's not easy. This game has the smartest CPU chip to date, and the bad guys are of course no slouch.

If you plan on getting by in this game, then you need to know where you are heading at all times, and where all of your enemies are headed too, or else one of them could come around a corner and have his buddies all over you in 2 seconds.

Although I have already {nearly} mastered the game, I would like to be certain that I have not missed one single area of the game's levels. So what do I do? I buy the strategy guide.

If you are a major gamer like me, or just have a soul interest on Metal Gear Solid, I advise that you pick up this book.

And as for that guy from Iran, I think he needs to actually take at look at the book before he says anything.

What can I say?, this book is simply the best out there. I thought that the maps and the stealth tips were totally cool. I have so far gotten all the secret endings and the best thing is how you cand put a peice of c4 on the Pshyco Mantis's back and detenate it for a 1 hit kill.

I loved how it told you what the ratings ment and how snake could where a totaly awsome tux. I definitely encourage everybody who has the game to buy this book. You won't be let down.

When I bought this, I thought it was just a walk through. Jeez, how wrong I was!!! Learn how to get a Stealth Suit and find out what the heck that Bandana does! This book is also filled with the list of ratngs you get at the end of the game! Yes, you can now find out if you're rating was good or if you're just a rookie. You can even get a tuxedo like James Bond and change the Ninja into a different color!!! And this little tidbit of info I am about to reveal isn't found in the book. You can stick a C4 on a soldier's back! Just get near him(like right behind him) and place as you regularly would. The look at is back closely...

Do not look for tips,secrets,cheats,etc. on this comic book.If you get stuck in a section of this game,This (book)? will not help. I can see why its Totally Unauthorized.It is not helpfull at all.

Anyone who needs a book wasted their money buying Metal Gear Solid.Why buy it if you are gonna use a book to beat it? Talk about wasting money

This guide is really good but the game was absolutley horrible. It was supposed to be the game of the year... but it was a complete failure. I was deeply saddened because I wasted 10$ on the guide and 50$ on the game but the guide helped me beat the game although I really did not need it.
