Once again mad props to Goldie, October 14, 2003
This review is from: Metalheadz.03 (Audio CD)
I ended up buying this cd on a whim a couple days ago because I already have Platinum Breakz I and II and was very impressed by what I heard. Even though it doesn't quite carry the same style the original did it's managed to go back to a similar feel but with a newer sound construct (ie. new school jungle with an oldskool vibe) which was done in very good taste. The first cd is a mix of about 12 tracks done by Goldie from the likes of Loxy & Ink, Fresh, Danny C, Total Science (VIP Rider's Ghost remix!), Lemon D, Hidden Agenda, Rufige Kru (aka. Goldie), and Calyx & Kontrol. Even though I'm not really a big fan of Total Science's usual sound the one track 'Tight Squeeze' that they had on there wasn't that bad. The second cd was most of the same tracks unmixed plus or minus a few. Overall it was a great purchase, the Lemon D remix of Pulp Fiction was WAY off the hook, and for 2003 I was very happy to hear they still make stuff of this callibre. If your into the d&b with a more sophisticated feel sometimes and liked the other Metalheadz cd's then I'd definitely get this one.

Really Good Metalheadz Compilation Release, June 25, 2004
This review is from: Metalheadz.03 (Audio CD)
I think it is a lot better than Metalheadz 02 (not on Amazon), which I have on vinyl.
It is a lot faster and I think the tracks are a lot more addictive and appealing.
It has a lot of great tracks by:
Loxy and Ink, Fresh, Danny C, Total Science, Lemon D, Hidden Agenda, Rufige Kru, and Calyx and Kontrol
I had to take a star away however, b/c I wasn't that impressed with the mixed version (disc 2).
And some tracks are just some more really old tracks like the track Angel (originally on Goldie's debut album TIMELESS)or Riders Ghost (which came out on Doc's Scott's 12" and Metalheadz first vinyl release - Metalheadz001), which have been remixed to death already.
But overall a great album and affordable. (always good.)
