This is a great concert, Metallica at its best but who had the stupid idea of cutting the concert to several times to add interviews, emottional fans crying, etc? That should be in the Special Features section but NOT though the concert. Very annoying.

This is the special or deluxe edition of the three presentations of Metallica in Mexico in June 2009.

There are other editions,one with a single DVD,other with the DVD and two CD's and other in blue ray format.

This edition have 2 DVD's and 2 CD's,the only difference with the other editions is a DVD which includes the rest of songs that the band play in all the three nights. That's to say, in this edition you can find all the songs played in the Mexico's show.

The production is amazing, the show is wonderful, the interpretation of the songs is execellent, in others words this is a must have production to all the people interesting in the good rock, in a very good show, and of course for all the metallica's fans.

The DVD's are free region and are thought to be sold them in Latin america but thanks to amazon is possible to get it all over the world.

The audio and the video are excellents, the concert show to metallica in a inspired night and in a very good mood, the crowd is in perfect armony with the band, in other words, this is an inspired show, where everythig is in the right place and quantity and a concert for all the times.

Choose the edition that you want but if you like rock music don't lose the chance to see one the greatest band of all times in a very inspired concert.

This show is excellent. The sound is excellent and yes you get Dts 5.1 and the way that the cameras are used are just amazing. YOu almost feel as if you were there and the cameras show just how big the arena is. A lot of the material is old school and it sounds as metal hard as it ever has. Metallica just seem to get better as they grow older. The energy that was sent back and forth is amazing. I have seen many Metalica shows on Dvd over the years and this is there best yet.

After the St. Anger fiasco, Metallica returns with a vengeance. I knew as good as the Death Magnetic was and as good as the tour was, a DVD was likely. After all they hadn't released anything since Cunning Stunts. Well, I was almost right. They released a DVD in Central/South America, and in France. It is awesome. As good as Binge and Purge and Stunts. If you don't mind spending some bucks, there is a 2CD-2DVD set available.

The sound in this show (or shows, becasuse there is footage from 3 shows played in Mexico City) si amazing. Tha band is in top form (Hammett particularly surprised me). The set list is simply breathtaking, merging old school and new tunes from DEATH MAGNETIC efortlesssly.

Editing follows the modern trend of fast cuts (unfortunately), but is nowhere near some headache-inducing editings around in other DVDs (Iron Maiden comes to mind). I just wished they did not use so much footage that center on filming the audience. It's boring. I was not there. I don't care. I just wanna watch the show. And the show is the guys on the stage. If I was in a show, I would not spend all the time looking around the audience. I would look at the stage.

Great DVD and for a fair price.

First, I am not the biggest Metallica fan. I don't own everything they've ever done. My last purchase before Death Magnetic was the Black album. The in-between years were not kind! I first saw Metallica live on the Ride the Lightning tour with Armored saint and W.A.S.P. in support. It was an awesome show for the few hundred there. We got to meet the band behind the venue afterwards and they were pretty cool. The next time I saw them was opening for Ozzy on the Master Of Puppets tour. Awesome!

OK, back to this DVD. I was impressed enough with the songs on Death Magnetic that I wanted to hear their current set. I found this DVD on Amazon and promptly ordered it. I was not disappointed! The sound quality and picture quality/editing is excellent. Some have complained about the interruptions for band/fan quotes, and while it is not my favorite style of editing, at least they did it right by waiting until the song is completely over before going to it and then it's its own chapter, so it's easy enough to tap "next" on the remote to skip it and move on to the next song. The band is in pretty good form, though Lars has really scaled back his kit. James sounds pretty good and Kirk's leads are pretty good as well. The set list is very good. In short, i think this is a must for anyone who likes Metallica music!

Pretty good sound quality with a relatively diverse setlist including plenty of old gems not on the radio. More interviews with fans than I'd care for, but that's what the skip button is for. Great show overall.

Metallica are my favorite band of all time! And i got the chance to see them in D.C. at the Verizon Wireless center back in January of 2009.And that performance was just an asskicker of a show!! I have been to a couple small venued shows but nothing like this one thats for sure.This 2 disc dvd set is a must for any big Metallica fan like myself it has it all an incredible live show that spans over 34 live tracks including some Metallica classics like Master of Puppets,For Whom the Bell tolls,Fade to Black,The Day that Never Comes,The Unforgiven,Enter Sandman,and One (My personal Favorite) I love how they mix it up with new stuff from the Death Magnetic album to some of their earlier stuff from Kill em' all awesome setlist!! I can honestly say that I feel blessed that i got the chance of seeing one of the greatest bands to ever assemble on the face of this earth play!Just watching this dvd set reminds me of being there at that show in D.C. and feeling the intensity of Lars drum playing and James and Kirk shredding it away on guitars those guys are awesome!! And given the chance of seeing them again i would not pass up on it for sure!! I have watched this dvd like 1,000 times best live show to check out and I'm sure it would be awesome to hear it on an home theather system! I hate how theres so many people out there that still riducule this great epic band like one night i was watching this dvd and my stepfather walks in the room with disgust on his face and nods his head a couple times I knew what he was thinking "Why would anyone like this crap its nothing but devil music". Well to that all i say is people like that truly dont understand real music and far as I'm concerned wont ever understand it i mean bottom line how could you show disrespect to a very talented and successful band like Metallica all i know is that theres alot ignorant people out in the world.Anyway check out this dvd you will be glad you did a great addtion to your dvd collection i know it looks good on my movie shelf!!

If you are long time Metallica fan, than you already know when Metallica plays Mexico it is a special experience. It is amazing environment and they always play multiple nights, which gives a nice platform of song selection...all of this adds up to a great live performance release. Live Binge and Purge featured Mexico and this DVD/Blu-ray is a welcome addition. I really appreciated the setlist differing fromthe France show. I have both shows and I have to say this was my favorite. What a special place and show. The crowd is just so intense and it makes the rest of us realize how lucky we are to see Metallica as often as we do...they have to wait so long to see them and they really appreciate it. We could take a lesson from these fans!

Now to the DVD itself. I think this is more traditional than the France show, with the cut shots of each band member and a larger stage and pyro for those that care than the France would allow, strictly due to stage size. The setlist is fantastic on this, atleast I thought so. Hearing "Ride the Lightning", "Disposable Heroes", "Unforgiven" , "The Wait" and the "Memory Remains" were worth the purchase of this DVD for me personally. These are not concert staple songs. The new songs from Death Magnetic really blend well with the old stuff. The performance was fantastic, I think Kirk's solos were alot more tight and traditional during this show than France. The band was really stoked to be there and it shows. They also interview alot of the Metallica fans and this is always cool to see....an army! Once and forever, Metallica fans have a connection with each other. This is a great release and the best concert since the Justice Show released with Binge and Purge. Thanks guys.

Bueno, solo quiero decir que este producto es la perfecta combinación entre material incluído, presentación del producto y precio. Ya que los cuatro discos vienen en un lujoso empaque además de un sencillo pero muy necesarió librito de información adicional. Si bien nos conocemos la vida entera de MetallicA, siempre es bienvenida una actualización de qué están haciendo estos muchachos ahora.

El concierto está excelente, muy buena dirección y fotografía. Muy buen sonido, Lars casi no se pela y algo que me llamó la atención, fue que el documental que viene incluído, no está en el menú (como Extras), sino que está dentro del mismo concierto. Cosa que no es del todo mi agrado, el que me interrumpan el concierto con entrevistas, pero fue interesante verlo así.

Mi recomendación.. A los metaleros que compran Original. Traten en lo posible que este no les falte en casa.
