Another great album from Tarkan!, February 14, 2008
This review is from: Metamorfoz (Audio CD)
First off, I apologize for any english that may be inncorrect. :) I have grown up listening to Tarkan and have always been a fan (and we have the same hometown!) and this cd has met my expectations easily. Vay Anam Vay starts the cd out with a very cluby and funky beat that moves everyone to the dance floor (personal favorite). Dilli Duduk has a similar sound to Vay Anam Vay but touches much closer to home and yet is still a great combination of dance and traditional Turkish music. Arada Bir is also very funky and a bit like the first two but what sets this song apart is Tarkan's display of his smooth and incredible vocals that blow the beat away. Istanbul Agliyor is a beautiful slow tune that shows off traditional Tarkan, keeping in touch with his roots and it just makes you want to cry (the lyrics are beautiful). Hop Hop is a great track that weaves in and out of traditional Turkish belly dance music to a modern dance floor pleaser. Dedikodu has original Turkish drumming along with a nice power guitar in the background all covered with a beautiful stringed section (much like Tarkan's older albums) and is just an amazing song, much like this entire album. Bam Teli is a slower and even more beautiful song with incredible instrumentals and breath-taking vocals, as expected from a Tarkan song. Gun Gibi has a nice western touch but still stays true to Tarkan's west-to-east combinations. Slow but very pleasing to listen to, again, incredible lyrics. Cat Kapi brings back the intense pounding dance floor hit that Tarkan is so well known for. Less traditional but still great. Para Para ends this album well, with a combination of everything above, very powerful vocals, incredibly well sung and a combination of instruments that would make one cry. Overall, just another great album from Tarkan, if you are a fan, you will not be disappointed, nor will you skip a single song. Keep supporting him all over the world!

One of the best yet from Tarkan!!!, February 3, 2008
This review is from: Metamorfoz (Audio CD)
This is easily one of Tarkan's best albums yet! The music is high-energy, dance-club-ready and lots of fun to listen to! He has a few ballads on here to show off his beautiful voice, but overall the tracks are pop music that's very danceable. I'm glad his newest release is FANTASTIC, but I would also love to see another English album from this versatile artist...

Places me right on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, July 11, 2008
Tarkan, who seems to be only known in Turkey and in a few European discos, seems to me to be the perfect mix of upbeat and fun western dance music and "oriental" (I use the term in it's truest form: Eastern) music. Okay, it does lean heavily towards the west but what attracts me to Tarkan's music is it's energy and it's interesting inclusion of more Turkish sounding rythems and melodies.
