5.0 out of 5 stars An intellectual manifesto, December 8, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Metaphysical Horror (Paperback)
Dr. Kolakowski's work is brilliant! Reading this small yet deep work of philosophical thought, makes one feels as if the author was having an open minded conversation with all his readers. This book draws one into the mind of a great intellectual who sees and speaks to the interdisciplinary connectivity between multiple subjects from a philosophic and social thought perspective.

5.0 out of 5 stars The funniest, deepest book you will ever read about Being, January 1, 2012
This review is from: Metaphysical Horror (Paperback)
This slim volume--gigantic in scope, whimsical in tone, effortless in style, dense in allusion, and joyful in spirit--reminds us all why philosophy matters, and how the oldest questions turn out to be the freshest and most relevant.

This was one of the more Ontologically challenging books I've read in some time. A day without metaphysics is a day without sunshine.
