3.0 out of 5 stars For the Researcher
This author was previously unknown to me, but I heard him live on a radio show. He was a brilliant guest and speaker in a live format, very personable, and interesting. So, I immediately decided to buy this, his latest book. I found the reading to be cumbersome, more suited to a reference or research volume. And it is quite lenghty. I purchased this book as a refference book, however, when I began to read the information contained within this work I couldn't put it down. Most Metaphysical books present information that we have all heard before, or someone else's idea of how we should think. This beautiful work, brings us with intelligent understandings of an often misinterpreted book (the bible), and offers practical and easily understood methods of application in eliminating our own stumbling blocks. We often hear speakers talk about "getting out of our own way" in reguards to acheiving the life that we desire. Finally, someone isn't merely telling their audience that this is what they need to do. But actually explaining in understandable language as to how. This book would serve as an ideal basic text book for classes teaching Metaphysics.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's About Time!, June 4, 2007
This review is from: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible (Hardcover)
From 20-20 hindsight, I now realize why my life experience and personal choices for metaphysical instruction have led me to read the earlier works by Steven Hairfield, so I may be prepared for his monumental work, A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible. Weighing over two pounds, it is worth its weight in gold!

Sure, I've come to understand Bible history from prior class instruction; however, no instructor in my life has explained its fascinating history as fully and from such meticulous research as has Steven Hairfield. Sure, I have known of Jesus' "lost years" in the Bible through the research provided by several obscure authors; however, I became totally enthralled by Steven Hairfield's inner urge to understand those "lost years" through personal experience. Sure, I have been a member of Christian-based organizations, volunteering my services and attending Bible Study classes and retreats; however, none have provided me an understanding of WHO I am and my association with the Creator that made any sense to me until I digested, in my own terms, the unifying Principle of Unconditional Love & Inseparableness, revealed so prevalently throughout the Bible, as Steven Hairfield explained the Bible's symbology and allegory through metaphysical interpretation.

Am I the only individual who feels that something is about to happen? Am I the only one who enjoys both radio and television series which reveal the "other side," portraying the myriad of ways to which we relate, however entertaining those ways are expressed or shown, respectively? After reading Steven Hairfield's interpretation on the Book of Revelation, I am deeply calmed and at peace, for all the pieces have been foretold and each is coming together. Not for the world's end mind you; rather, for our next step to a glorious beginning - if we so choose it.

I am deeply grateful and sincerely acknowledge, all the time, effort and life choices through which Steven Hairfield had to experience in order to get this book out to the general populace. I now understand WHO I am and my purpose of being, thanks to this gentle, forthright soul. Thank you Steven!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is one "Aha" moment after the other - very good!, April 26, 2007

This review is from: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible (Hardcover)
How many numerous times have I earnestly tried to read the bible? I cannot tell you there have been so many. I also could not tell you WHAT it all meant, what with language differentiations and 1600 years of dilution. This work by Steven Hairfield has enlightened me, educated me, inspired me, and most of all...Instilled a feeling that there is hope for humankind afterall. Most folks missed the true meanings in our traditional bibles and have been wandering aimlessly in consumer bliss (ick!) ever since. Is this what Jesus or God wanted? _ _ _ _ No! Thank you Steven for setting me back on path...I finally think I understand how to trek the rest of my journey this lifetime!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, April 11, 2008
This review is from: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible (Hardcover)
If you are searching for internal healing and peace, then this book is your opportunity to find it. In "A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible", Dr. Steven Hairfield offers an understanding of the Bible that is truthful, gentle, and healing. Prior to reading this book, I spent more than thirty years in different churches - hearing different interpretations of the Bible that often left me fearful for my eternal soul. This truthful and loving explanation allows for acceptance and understanding of our life's experiences without the need for judgment, guilt, blame, and most of all fear. The education of the history of the church, the Bible, and the missing years of Jesus, was fascinating and created within me a greater understanding of, and compassion for, each individual sharing our journey. As well as a more peaceful and joyous journey for myself and my family.

I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to enjoy and experience life fully. Dr. Hairfield's interpretation of the Bible offers a gentle journey towards personal healing and the awakening of your soul. Thank you, Steven, for your love for each of us individually, and for you willingness to share with us such a loving message from The Creator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a real metaphysical interpretation, February 12, 2009
This review is from: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible (Hardcover)
I was somewhat hesitant when I ordered this book, thinking just another literal rendition of the KJB. WOW! This is not only a great book, but a wonderful reference. You see, I am a metaphysical bookstore and spiritual center owner, and pastor. This is exactly what I was looking for to give Sunday lectures. (Don't like the word sermon.) Now I can use this book as a starting point for lecturing on taking back your own power and knowing that you DO create the world in which you live. Now Amazon will be sending me two of his other books. I look forward to adding them to my metaphysical reference library.

5.0 out of 5 stars A challenge for any reader ..., March 29, 2008
This review is from: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible (Hardcover)
Length:: 3:19 Mins

I challenge you to read this book and not be inspired. I challenge you to grasp the metaphysical concepts conveyed in this book. I challenge you to compare it to all other books, religious or otherwise. I challenge you to live by these lessons, parable by parable, until each moment brings you into 'the gaps between our thoughts' ... where silence hides ... and every soul finds peace waiting at the gates of __________. I challenge you to read this book ... and ever be the same.

So, I immediately decided to buy this, his latest book. I found the reading to be cumbersome, more suited to a reference or research volume. And it is quite lenghty. Problem: his personality does not come across in this writing, and it was boring. Perhaps this is in part due to the co-writer/editor. With some help in this area, he may write more interesting things in the future. I hope so, as he is so unique.

Still... glad I took the chance on Steven Hairfield.
