Book Description

June 1, 2009
Abraham Maslow's forgotten discovery expanded, clarified, and presented in a dynamic new program.

The Lost "Secret" of the top one percent of achievers: "What constituted the big difference for self-actualizing people was that their activity became a channel or medium for expressing the eternal, ultimate values--the true, the good, the beautiful, the just...I had found men and women in everyday life who were embracing, actually living, these ultimate values." A. H. Maslow, Future Visions, The Unpublished Papers of Abraham Maslow.

FOR THE FIRST TIME, The MetaValues Breakthrough makes the elusive process of Self-Actualization an experience-able, living reality for the "average" reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars synthesizing spiritual values, May 27, 2009
"Larry Mullins in The Meta Values Breakthrough advances the Meta Values of Abraham Maslow by synthesizing the scientific, philosophical, and spiritual values of truth, beauty, goodness, and love into a vision of integrity, caring, and excellence to transform human motivation and achievement. This potential is demonstrated by illustrations of his own mental-spiritual pilgrimage and in the lives of people like A. J. Cronin, Viktor Frankl, Buckminster Fuller, and many others. Larry shows how the top one percent of achievers tap into an endless flow of energy, inspiration, and motivation. Steps are outlined to create your own vision of creativity and how to actualize this vision. Scientists, religionists, and philosophers will find much food for thought in these pages. In fact, I would urge anyone interested in spiritual growth and experiential wisdom to read this inspiring and helpful book and seek to put in practice, to live, its transforming insights."

5.0 out of 5 stars A book for Life-Navigation, May 15, 2009
I was fortunate to get my hands on this book before it was published. The title seemed "new-agey" and esoteric, but after reading just a few pages, I knew I stumbled into a goldmine. Being a military person, my time is limited; this book was entirely worth every minute. The author (Larry Mullins) has the experience in mining his deep insights into a strategy that will positively enhance your life. However, be forewarned, it is not a book for the frivolous or the shallow! If you spend the time thinking and internalizing the principles of this book, changes will happen. Your interior orientation will change, and this will result in lasting and profound changes in your life.

My only wish is that this book had been written a few decades ago, wherein I could have incorporated this work into my life sooner.

For the pragmatic military man, it is a very useful tool, and it will be a useful item to have on those long deployments and overseas tours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Regenerative power of great ideas, May 26, 2009
By
"The MetaValues Breakthrough" is superbly written, with both clarity and grace. It has been sometime since I've read much of Maslow, or about him, but this is the best overview I've come across. I've always felt that the insights and influence of Maslow have been overlooked and underrated. In my own life, I put him alongside Victor Frankl and Rollo May, who helped me as a young adult once and for all consciously transcend the dogmatism of behaviorism. I'm reminded of studies of the creative personality, which parallel, in large part, his description of the self-actualizing person. It also reminds me more recently of the work of Robert Greenleaf in "Servant Leadership." I think "The MetaValues Breakthrough" is an excellent work, with the regenerative power of a great idea.
