You have to buy this shampoo directly from the pharmacist, but you don't need a prescription. They do not keep it on the shelf with the rest of the shampoos, so most folks don't know about it. My dermatologist recommended this for my eczema and it works better than any other non-prescription shampoo that I've tried, and I have basically tried them all. None of them worked for me until now. This works. Ask your pharmacist for it or purchase it online (search Google for it.) Great stuff. I'm grateful to my dermatologist for telling me about it.

I am plagued with eczema and severe dry scalp dandruff. I have tried many shampoos but have found that only Meted completely rids me of dandruff and itchy scalp. The combination of salicylic acid and sulfur is very effective. Most big name brands have only the salicylic acid or some ineffective combination of other chemicals. Coal tar does not work for me. The drugstore in Evergreen, CO, used to carry Meted, but they were bought out and no longer provide it. I cannot find it anywhere in Denver. To my surprise and delight I can get it through Amazon from DERMAdoctor. The vendor's price is right and it was sent to me quickly. Very satisfied customer!!
