plugs fit perfectly, the wires were even printed on the wire what they were for, and they were even correct for my 97 Dodge Dakota.

Each wire is marked for what it's for and matched my 2000 Jeep Cherokee perfectly, made installing my new stereo a breeze.

I bought this adapter to put a new radio in a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The color coded and labeled wires matched the new radio leads exactly and the unit works perfectly!

I used this harness for my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the the Infinity system, to install an aftermarket stereo. It worked well, except for one thing. These Jeeps provide a separate ground wire that attaches to the back chassis of the original stereo. Because of this, these Metra harnesses do not include a ground wire connection. However, most aftermarket stereo harnesses do include a ground wire. What to do? To avoid having to splice the separate ground wire of your Jeep, I would recommend getting an 12 a gauge male tab connector to attach to the harness ground wire of your new stereo, which you can use to insert into the female connector of your Jeep. Metra should have included one I this package. Minus one star for not including one.

I bought this harness for my 99' Jeep, and I did get it to work for me. It is basically just what you see in the picture: two inputs that will go into your new radio and then quite a few wires that are coming out the back that you will need to splice into the other side.

My problem with this is that there were quite a few extra wires that were not applicable to my Jeep, and there wasn't really enough documentation telling me what the wires were for and what to do with them. I just tied each extra off without being connected to anything and the radio works fine.

This was take two! The first one we ordered said it fit our Dodge (on Amazon's fit finder) but it didn't so we had to come back and order this one! We have a 2002 Dodge Dakota Extra Cab...this is the harness that fit!

Harness works very well in my 2000 Dodge Intrepid. Without it you would have to cut the two plugs coming out of the dash and then do all the wiring up in place on the dashboard. And I guarantee you drop something into the drive tunnel while trying to do that. Nevermind getting the wire colors wrong.

I used a crimping tool and those little nubbies to connect the coded wires and that seemed to do a good job. You can do that at your work table and then just plug it into the radio. Soddering is out of my league and I do not think the hold is as good as the crimping tool connection. But hey, that's me.

Worked the first time I turned it on. Oh, and instead of disconnecting the negative pole on battery (a gigantic task on an Intrepid), I just pulled the fuse and that seemed just as safe to me and a lot easier (fuse number 4).
