This is a great cheap decanter. Don't waste your money on a more expensive brand/model.

I'm very satisfied with this purchase and am writing this to clarify a couple points I was uncertain of based on other reviews. This decanter is glass. The box claims it is "mouth blown glass". It is made in China. The photo in the description depicts it holding one full bottle of wine (750 ml). It does not drip when it pours (just one drop rolls off the lip much as what happens when you pour from a wine bottle). It is nice looking, though it wouldn't be mistaken for a $200 crystal decanter

Pros:
Great decanter, looks good, works well! The handle is very good and useful. Easy to clean and rest on it's side. Makes a good display piece on our sideboard. Speedy shipping.

Cons:
It is huge. Too big for a single person who wants to decant less than a bottle at a time. You have to decant at least a full bottle or 1.5 bottles to get any action out of this. I poured in a 1/2 bottle and the wine just formed a puddle on the floor of the decanter! :-)

Very good looking and works; in other words it generally pours without spills although it will if you work at it.

Nice looking item but not as elegant I had expected. Good for decanting wines when drinking w/ a group of people. However, I found it inconvenient to use when I am drinking alone which is most of the time. The base is just too big and it needs a lot of wine to fill up just the base of this decanter.

For those of us who enjoy inexpensive wines, this is a great decanter to allow them to air. The squat body keeps it from tilting over and the handle makes it easy to pour. You don't lose your grip on this one. It holds 70 ounces easily. Very nice. It's the perfect first decanter for a household. It would make a GREAT gift.

I absolutely love this decanter. I have had two others--one very expensive, one inexpensive, both without handles. While very elegant, they were a nightmare to clean and pour. They both broke...well, good riddance! This is the best decanter, large surface area, angled mouth, and indespensable handle.

I have received compliments EVERY time I use it while entertaining. I am ordering several more for gifts. I am positive they will please all who receive them.
