Mishima is an overworked maintenance worker at Exopolis Tokyo, a high-rise entertainment and business complex. Too meek to say no to his boss, he gets stuck working overtime the night of his son’s birthday. There’s worse to come, however, when a massive earthquake destroys Exopolis, trapping Mishima and a host of subway riders underground, leaving them struggling for survival against both the elements and one another. The voice of reason and the nudge Mishima needs to act are provided by the enigmatic Sachi, one of the young women from the train. Not all characters are as well developed as Mishima and Sachi, but readers will bring them all into focus fairly quickly, just as Mishima eventually does. The story manages to be terrifying without resorting to cheap horror or fan service, and Mishima comes across as a believable character, caught up in a terrifying situation. Rough language and violence are part of the story but are not overdone. Readers of this will want the next volume. Grades 9-12. --Snow Wildsmith

This series is complete only at 2 volumes making it a great short series!

The artwork is great and it draws you in the story pretty much right away.

I won't spoil the story at all. It's about people surviving the earthquake and finding a way to survive. I liked the ending.

If you like Dragon Head manga series, you will like this. The story has the same idea where they are stuck below in the subway of the trains and finding a way to survive. Except in Dragon Head, they are kids and the series goes for 10 volumes long.
