Locker room hunks require no assistance when removing corks from champagne or other bubbly-wine bottles, and they're happy to spray wine around. Others, however, find it difficult to uncork a bubbly wine and to do it without spraying or spilling. These pliers are specifically designed to assist the latter group by firmly gripping a cork and providing leverage for twisting it free under control so the user doesn't waste a single drop. The pliers are made of stainless steel with ergonomic handles and rubberized grips for comfortable, soft, "velvet" handling. I bought this item because I hated the struggle in trying to get the cork out of a champagne bottle. It works great. I came back and bought a couple more for gifts. The packaging is also very nice.

Very heavy, good metal, and smooth operation. Comes in a stylish case. Complete control for popping bottles. No more guests covering their eyes on New Years. Machine grey finish on the outside.
Would make a great gift for under $20.
