Love, love, love this corkscrew. We had used the manual hand crank corkscrew for decades and fell in love this this easy to use, fast open corkscrew at a friend's house. The ease of use is unbelievable. You turn the foil cutter around the top of the bottle, then left off the cut-off top section. Clamp the Houdini onto the top of the bottle, lift the lever (slides into the cork like butter), then pull it down to pull out the cork. We ordered one from Amazon immediately upon returning home. Not only have we gifted this to numerous friends (all with rave reviews), but have also inspired guests to purchase one after using ours. I highly recommend this corkscrew to the frequent bottle opener as well as the occassional indulger.

this is the second Houdini I've owned, and this one seems to be much sturdier and operates more efficiently than the first one. It feels better in my hand and extracts the cork with less effort, putting less strain on the handles.

Saw someone use one of these at a party, so I put it on my Christmas list. Great product!!!!!!! So easy to open wine now!

The Houdini wine bottle opener was a gift for my son, who is a chef and has access to a lot of openers. He said the Houdini "works like a champ."

Corkscrew works but I hope it lasts - the plastic components seem to be a little weak for the job.

This product broke after the very first use. Construction is very cheap. Plastic parts and poor construction. Will not purchase any Metrokane products again. Very disappointed.

This is my second Houdini. After years of use, the handle broke on my old one. It's foil cutter is a snap, and being able to open a bottle in a matter of seconds and remove the cork from the screw in another 2 seconds is awesome! Highly recommend this product.

I bought this new from Amazon as a Christmas gift. Ruka absolutely loves it. i would highly recommend this for anyone who is tired of fighting with old cumbersome corkscrews. this takes all of the guesswork out of it!

We have used this item for appx. a year, worked well. Then it just stopped holding the cork tightly. The pads wore out and there is no replacement, so just throw it away!
