I purchased this in hopes that I wouldn't have to continually wipe the wine drop sliding down the bottle and prevent wine stains on my white counter top...it works great! For the price, you can't beat this gadget. There are alternatives however. I have seen the round discs that you can curl and insert halfway into the top of the bottle, which creates a thinner edge, preventing the "run down" effect.

I gave this as a gift for Christmas, and it worked like a charm at dinner. Not a drop on the table!

I bought 8 of the rings for gifts. Everyone who drinks or serves wine agrees the drip stop ring helps when pouring wine and keeping the wine running down the bottle. Simple, inexpensive and so practical.

My husband loves Merlot and I can't tell you how many times we'e had to clean the counter becuase of the drip. I found this by accident and I read the other reviews and I got it for him for Christmas and it works great.

Best way yet to keep red wine off of the tablecloth! Quality-made and durable, you'll love it.

These drip rings are very nice. They are smaller than our old ones, lighter than the old ones, and have a better design than our old ones. Basically they have a spring in them that lets them open to get over the top and then when released it hugs the neck of the bottle. Does its job.

This does the job. No more drips on fancy table cloths. Just remember to take it off before you recycle the empty bottle.

I use this not only for wine bottles but for apple cider bottles and anything else that's a bottle that I have to pour out of, and likely would get a drip down the side. I used to grab a coaster to put those bottles on top of, but with this drip ring properly placed on them, I no longer have to worry about dried ring mark on my nice oak table or kitchen counter!

All you have to do for cleaning is just run it under warm water and squeeze with your fingers to get the velvet/felt all wet. If you're extra worried you can probably use a lil bit of soapy water as well and rinse it well. Then I just let it air dry. No need to throw it in the dishwasher or ANYTHING. Very low maintenance, very cheap, and no ring on your $2000+ table, no hunting for extra coaster and no need to warn guests to "please place the bottle on the coaster like cups".

These are great devices. Slip right over the bottle neck and stop the wine from dripping down the bottle. We have about 10 of these little jewels.

I purchased this to fit a large neck bottle of wine. I suppose it would fit your average wine bottle, but not the large quantity bottles of wine.
