Here it is, 2012, and I still find myself digging through the archives of my iTunes library for this album. It's definitely one of the best samplings of what Metropolis has to offer for the industrial genre. For those who are just learning about the industrial music scenes, I'd recommend this as a good starter album (or really, most of the Metropolis compilations).

I am a die-hard industrial fan, and when it comes to industrial, Metropolis Records knows their stuff! Their compilation albums are hard to match. Metropolis 2003 got me started on industrial. There isn't a song on this cd not worth listening to. The songs are original, inspiring, edgy, beautiful, and so much more. I would encourage anyone to pick a copy of this up, and just give it a try. Outstanding!

I was rearranging our family room and was attempting to better organize the CD's. So in going through them, I came across my Metropolis compilation CD's and put this one on. Ahhh! The great synth rhythms and electronic futuristic sounds of this quality compilation once again enthralled me and motivated me to throw in my two cents worth on Amazon....that this is a darn good CD. Over the years since I bought it, I was motivated to purchase digital downloads (entire CD's) by VNV Nation, Covenant, Fictional, Faith and the Muse, and many of the other artists on this album. So, I guess Metropolis did OK by me in selling this compilation dirt cheap....yes, marketing guys, it did have the desired effect. (I guess it wouldn't have hurt for me to have sped up a little in getting this review out instead of waiting 9 years.)
