4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun For Anyone who loves to be Creative & Plan things
If you like the fist version you will love this one! There are a few suttle differences. You get to choose male or female character and the stores are up to date, like a cell phone store and a kareokee bar. The graphics have not improved but that doesn't make it any less fun to play. If you like these type of games, for instance if you liked the Jurasic park game...

3.0 out of 5 stars Metropolismania 2
A game that requires some thinking. You will soon learn the skills needed to advance in this game. The levels get increasingly harder but your skill and understanding from the previous level make it simple to keep going. You soon learn what is important and what is not important in order to advance. You could even stay at the first level and never go to the second level...

If you like these type of games, for instance if you liked the Jurasic park game where you got to plan your park or the roller coaster tycoon, this is right up your alley. You talk to the people and solve the problems. GREAT FUN! I have never had any trouble with my first copy of the game.

5.0 out of 5 stars not for everyone, April 7, 2008

While I'll agree, this game doesn't have the greatest of production value, it is addictive and fun. If you enjoy the Harvest Moon series, and more particularly the aspect of building relationships with the in-game characters, then you will most likely love this game.

I gave it a 4 star is because it is a Good game but the camera is hard to handle and the play is slow, but when you get to the mid point it can be alot of fun. It just takes a little bit of time.

The levels get increasingly harder but your skill and understanding from the previous level make it simple to keep going. You soon learn what is important and what is not important in order to advance. You could even stay at the first level and never go to the second level and still enjoy this game. It requires a lot of interaction between you and the people in your city. Sometimes it is hard to find the right person to talk to in order to get what the people want but the game explains how to do it with it's helpful hints throughout gameplay. All in all I say it is an average game. A great time waster, makes you think but not a lot of action.

I was expecting more improvements to be honest. I'm not the type of guy that thinks that games get worse with time, but in this case I have to say the first game was more entertaining. The reason is that the first game follows a better flow when it comes to your progress in the game. This one gets boring when you see your progress is slower due to harder to solve complains, even though you may have more houses or not. Plus the image quality didn't improve, I prefer the characters image quality of the first game, and you can't even build cities in the far sea like in the previous one which I really like of the first one.

It is still a fun game, I don't regret buying it, but when you compare it to the first game that's when it loses. The improvements I like is that you can choose more characters and change their costumes, also be able to move around the buildings' front face when they are being put, however those changes don't really make a difference.

I would choose the first game over this one, but nothing wrong with enjoying both.

1.0 out of 5 stars Must enjoy tedium., February 16, 2008

This game may be good for alot of folks but it was simply too boring and tedious for me. You essentially do the same things over and over and although I usually enjoy games that are construction or management based I found this one to be unrewarding. If you are young or just want a game to put your head in a fog, (Almost like meditating for clearing your mind, at one point my ears started ringing.) you will enjoy this game. But if you like some variety or reward for completing goals, objectives or levels try a different game. I heard that Sims Castaway was nice....
