5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Electric Duster...Replaces Expensive Can Air!
I've owned one of these electric dusters for over 4 years. It's one of the best items I've ever bought.

I used to buy canned air but that got very expensive. But nothing can compare to this thing...blows away dust from computer, electronics, Cds, DVD, toys, ornaments etc...

Also this thing is powerful and built strong for years of use...

3.0 out of 5 stars Beefed up hair dryer - no replacement for air can
Not enough power to THOROUGHLY clean through the kind of dust you would normally find in a computer or on dust prone objects such as glass tables and shelves.

Basically, the power in this thing will only take off the layers of dust that are laying on top of the bottom layer of dust. The bottom layer of dust is the hard part to take off since this is the layer...

4.0 out of 5 stars A mini tornado!!, March 28, 2009

Just like a tornado, this thing is loud and windy to the point of being unpleasent. It is so loud and blows so much wind, I have had complaints from the people who live below me. Despite the fact that it is basically a focused leaf blower in the amount of wind and noise it porduces, IT DOES GET YOUR COMPUTER CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The second I pointed this thing at my computer, a cloud of dust took over my house. My computer had dust in places I did not even know existed. it is like using 5 air cans at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason this did not get 5 stars from me is because it does NOT include the flex neck, and micro brush attachments like it says in the description, you must purchase them seperately. It DOES come with 3 attachments 1 big, 1 medium, 1 small. When I tried to use the small one, it shot off the end from too much pressure and almost embedded itself in my wall ONLY USE THE BIG or MEDIUM ATTACHMENTS AND DO NOT POINT THIS AT YOUR FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great product overall.

Believe me...it's worth $40 bucks. The return you get is enormous.

Not enough power to THOROUGHLY clean through the kind of dust you would normally find in a computer or on dust prone objects such as glass tables and shelves.

Basically, the power in this thing will only take off the layers of dust that are laying on top of the bottom layer of dust. The bottom layer of dust is the hard part to take off since this is the layer that is actually adhering to the surface. A compressed air machine or compressed air can normally take this off, but this beefed up hair dryer will not do it. The noise it makes is in between a hair dryer and a small vacuum.

It does output a lot of air, but the main problem is that it has trouble concentrating that air when used with the small attachments. When used with the smaller attachments, the motor has trouble forcing all that air through the small openings of the attachements resulting in less power. It's usually best just to use it with the large attachment just to cover more area while providing pretty much the same air pressure per inch versus the small attachments.

You will get more air pressure per-square-inch if you use a compressed air can which means it can concentrate air very well, making it more suitable for electronic parts and other applications where there is a need to dust small crevices. Perhaps it is better to use the blower in conjunction with air cans, since the blower does a quick and dirty job of getting MOST of the dust, while the air cans can be used as to finish off the job.

This thing is so powerful it can blow out all the dust from heat-sinks and other hard to reach places where compressed air or vacuum cannot. It comes with shown attachments only, no flex adapter or brushes but, really, you cannot use a brush with this, it's not a vacuum and it's small enough to point directly anywhere (the description is probably from a vacuum or the less powerful model). In fact you don't want it to be too close to the circuit boards because too much air pressure could damage them. If you buy compressed air cans do yourself a favor and buy this thing instead, not only it's cheaper it also does way better job than any compressed air.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage, February 9, 2008
This product does not work as advertised. It barely blows any air out, this is a piece of junk.

I would avoid this product. Air Cans definitely ARE a better choice.

Excelente aparato
