Geared towards novices but nonetheless excellent
Indeed this book is geared more towards novices, but nobody writes as well about programming on the Mac as Sydow. I learned to program the Mac reading his books and while I agree that this book is not comprehensive enough to provide mastery, it is certainly a valuable addition to all but the most seasoned programmer's library.

A bare bone how to for beginners
If you're looking for in depth knowledge on how to use Codewarrior 10 this is not the book. This book is strictly for beginners.
