Best-of collection of a Brazilian samba-soul legend, June 23, 2008

This is a great 2-CD collection of the best material by Brazilian samba-soul singer Elza Soares, a favorite in the club-revival samba-funk scene. This covers her years on the Philips label, from 1960-1973, lots of explosive, high-energy samba-pop! You couldn't ask for a better introduction to her career.
(Note: there are also two single-disc collections also called "Meus Momentos" that came out earlier. This is the same material, just with both discs together.) (DJ Joe Sixpack, Slipcue Brazilian Music Guide)
