Hands down the most informative book ever written on La EME. Don't let the price scare you away, it is more than worth every penny. If you purchase one book on the Mexican Mafia, make it this one. Numerous pictures and inside information that only people who have been there and done that could provide.

Ramon, your answer on page 394 on why you dropped out was very touching. God bless you as you continue to live for Him. You have touched many lives with your testimony and I thank you for representing the way that you do. I had purchased your other book a long time ago when it was only on CD. I took that CD to Office Depot and had them print it out so I could read it easier. That book is very well written and one of my favorites of this genre.

Rene, I really enjoyed your other book as well. Thanks for all that you are doing. I'm sure that you and Ramon have talked about certain things and what he has told you is the truth. Don't wait because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. God bless!

This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to know history, names, places and the operations of the Mexican Mafia. It would make an excellent text book for a college criminal justice or prison gangs class. My only reason for not giving it a 5th star - in subsequent editions, I'd like to see an index where I can look up names and find them in the book.

By far the most Powerful book ever written about the history, inner Workings and profiles of the "made" members of La EME. The Mexican Mafia Encyclopdia is more than just a collaboration of two of that Organization's highest placed members to successfully defect, it is also a collaboration of ALL the knowledgeable Law Enforcement people coming together to contribute their prison gang intel. Gil "Chili" Avila, Robert "Moco" Morrill, Richard "Rich" Valdemar, Leo Duarte, Gabe Morales, Sgt.Eric Patao and many more REAL experts have left their indelible fingerprints on this Mexican Mafia classic. In my opinion, having worked with LE for almost 40 years in street and prison gangs, this book should be considered required reading for any gang cop and training personnel. MUST READ.

I have not read this whole book; but with regard to page 31 Jennifer Barela, she has not been at this time convicted of any crimes and is not serving time in a prison for crimes related to the Mexican mafia. She is currently in LA county jail where she has been for 4 years on charges, of which she has not, at this time, been convicted. Makes me wonder what else is "not quite true" in this book.
