We lived in Baja for 6 years and this was the best map we could find. They are VERY hard to get in Baja, so if you're headed that way, be sure to take one with you.
As you head south, be sure to mark locations of motels and gas stations for your return trip -- guide books are notoriously out of date and there are generally more motels and gas stations than expected, but sometimes ones in key locations have closed. VERY IMPORTANT: Do not drive outside of a town/city at night in Baja. Cattle free range everywhere, and hitting one is likely to total your car and seriously injure (if not kill) you. Generally, roads have no shoulders and no stripe on the outside. |
